The Kensington Palace's instagram page on Sunday shared photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton with their children, as well as throwback photos of the royal couple with their own mothers to mark Mother’s Day.
It’s Mother’s Day in the UK today. To commemorate this special day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge delighted fans by sharing a number of never-before-seen family photos via the Kensington Palace instagram account.
The post was a slideshow that included a heartfelt picture of William and Kate piggybacking their two eldest children, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte, while running in a field in Norfolk, UK.

The family also released a photo of William and Prince Harry with their late mom Princess Diana, and one of Kate as a baby with her mom Carole Middleton, who looks to be the spitting image of Kate. The final photo in the post was of a sweet handmade Mother's Day card made by George.
The post is captioned: “To mothers new and old and families spending today together and apart – we are thinking of you all at this difficult time. Happy Mother’s Day," followed by a flower emoji, to match the flowers in the card made by six-year-old George.

Fans have responded positively to the post, with one person writing: "This really made me smile but also tugged at the heartstrings. Love to all the mums out there," while another added: "Fabulous photos thanks so much for sharing them with us!" A third commented: "I love them, they are so cute!"
The post was particularly uplifting for many of the families around the world who will be unable to see their mothers on Mother's Day due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. It has been advised that families video call their loved ones instead of traveling to be with them to help stop the spread of the life-threatening illness.

William and Kate were praised for visiting NHS 111 call center on Friday to highlight its vital work to manage the coronavirus outbreak. As reported on Daily Mail, William praised the health service as representing "the very best of our country and society" as he expressed gratitude to the staff on behalf of the royal family.
He urged the public to play their part "to protect the most vulnerable" by staying at home as much as possible and avoiding non-essential contact to prevent spreading the virus.
