Kate Middleton's Playful Parenting Behavior Appears to Be Similar to Princess Diana's Hands-On Style

The late Princess Diana was known for her bigger-than-life parenting style. The royal was often photographed running to graciously embrace her sons Prince William and Prince Harry and laughing with them as they went on royal excursions.
Similarities are being drawn between Kate Middleton’s down-to-earth parenting and the late Princess.

Princess Diana was one of the first royal mothers to spearhead contemporary parenting and give her children as normalized of an upbringing as possible while still being a royal. Outings at McDonalds and amusement parks with their mom deviated greatly from traditional royal ceremonies the boys were issued into taking part of.
Judy Wade, a royal contributor to Hello! magazine told ABC News that "sources within Kensington Palace would say to me, 'Every morning the boys would run in their pajamas into her bedroom, and she'd have her arms open wide to hug them.”

The same adoring reaction can be seen with Kate Middleton and her three children that she shares with Prince William. Earlier this month, The duchess was seen laughing after seeing her daughter stick her tongue out at a crowd of spectators at a charity sailing race. Kate quickly giggled then moved her daughter along.
“There is no rule book, no right or wrong — you just have to make it up and do the very best you can to care for your family,” Kate said as cited by People.
“My parents taught me about the importance of qualities like kindness, respect, and honesty, and I realize how central values like these have been to me throughout my life,” Kate said during a visit to Mitchell Brook Primary School in February 2017. “That is why William and I want to teach our little children, George and Charlotte just how important these things are as they grow up. In my view it is just as important as excelling at maths or sport.”

The parents also seem to be very supportive of their children’s interests and hobbies regardless of stigma. According to People, Prince George will be taking Ballet class as part of his school curriculum. Prince William was heard saying to a teen at a reception at Kensington palace that his son George loves dancing.
“My mother always used to dance, she loved dancing,” William told the teen, adding some tips: “And if it’s something you love, you do what you love. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. Keep at it.”
