Kate Middleton's Mother Carole Looks Like The Duchess In Kensington Royal's Mother's Day Post

Mother's Day was on 22nd March in the UK, and Kate Middleton and Prince William shared some special pictures via the Kensington Royal Instagram account with their fans. Among these pictures were two featuring the pair's mothers. One sadly sweet photo of the late Princess Diana with her boys, the other showing Carole Middleton, Kate's mother. The likeness between Kate and her mother in younger years is astounding.

The Duke and Duchess of Kensington's official Instagram account shared four photos on Sunday to commemorate British Mother's Day. The post was captioned with the words "To mothers new and old and families spending today together and apart – we are thinking of you all at this difficult time."

Included in the mini photo album was a picture of the Duke and Duchess and their children, an old image of Princess Diana and her then young boys, a picture of the Duchess' mother with the younger Duchess and a photo of a card young Prince George gifted Kate this year.

Fans reacted very positively to the photos. Several commented it made them happy to see something uplifting during our current troubled times and many wished a happy Mother's Day not only to Kate and her mother, but also all other mums out there. One user comments: "A moment in time. Such a beautiful photo", while another added, "Well that post cheered my heart!" Many also commented on the fact that Kate looks very much like her mother in the throwback photo. Some even went so far as to say they could pass for twins.

Of course, even the royal family is expected to follow social distancing rules during these times. The Cambridges have retired to their country home, Amner Hall, while the Queen and King have quarantined themselves in Windsor Castle. As the Telegraph reports, the Queen has recently taken to video calling her family and is getting a more in-depth look at modern communication technology.
