Catherine, Princess of Wales is known for many things as a senior member of the royal family; from her impeccable taste in fashion to her passion for causes, Kate has proven herself to be an excellent Queen Consort in the making. However, her role as a mother to her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, has made her a fan favorite. Kate has beautifully balanced her duties of her work and of her motherhood well.
The same can be said about William, Prince of Wales who has shown that he is an incredible father to all of his children. Kate and William have done their best to keep their personal life private and show just how much of a normal family they actually are. However, with such a prime spot in the public eye, it was only time until people began to notice the ways in which the Prince and Princess of Wales act toward their three adorable children. Throughout their many outings and interactions as a family, the royal couple has shown nothing but love, affection and support for each other and their kids.
Experts have also chimed in with their own analysis of the family’s interactions with one another, especially the parents with their children. Kate and William have shown time and time again that they are incredible parents to their children, and even though they are royalty, they are surprisingly normal parents as well. And just like normal parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales can’t believe how fast their little ones are growing up.

Parenting is certainly no easy feat, but William and Kate have shared some of the methods they use to keep their young ones in line while providing them with a safe and happy living environment. According to Town & Country, the Princess of Wales believes this is extremely important. She said:
“There are also the environments you spend time in as well: a happy home, a safe environment. As children, we spent a lot of time outside, and it’s something I’m really passionate about. I think it’s so great for physical and mental wellbeing and laying (developmental) foundations."
Kate explained the “importance of early childhood development,” as she said: “It’s not just about happy, healthy children. This is for lifelong consequences and outcomes.”
William also hopes for the best for his children and their future. According to Royal Central, the Princes of Wales wants his kids to grow up “in a happy, stable, secure world” and says he’ll “fight for them to have a normal life.”
William also said that becoming a father has made him more emotional. “I never used to get too wound up or worried about things,” he said. “But now the smallest little things, you well up a little more, you get affected by the sort of things that happen around the world or whatever a lot more, I think, as a father.”
Still, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have fun with George, Charlotte and Louis. “George is a little rascal sometimes, he keeps me on my toes, but he’s a sweet boy,” William said. “And Charlotte, bearing in mind I haven’t had a sister, so having a daughter is a very different dynamic. So I’m learning about having a daughter, having a girl in the family.”

As George, Charlotte and Louis grow up, the public sees more of their adorable personalities. Louis is becoming known for his silly antics and cheeky nature. This was especially on display during the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
A royal insider told PEOPLE that Louis is something special. "He's a cheeky monkey — a typical third child," the inside source said. "It's nice that the world got to see him enjoying himself.”
Another royal family expert told Marie Claire that many people saw Louis throughout the weekend, putting his many fun moods on display. "At times, we saw Louis grow irritable and while him playing up made for some very comical photos, Kate — and William too — were on hand to ensure their brood (behaved)," the expert said. We also saw the young prince put his mother to the test with some of his craziness in the stands.
Also, in June 2022, Kate reminisced on just how much Louis has grown up. While visiting a center in London that provides clothing and supplies to parents in need, she stumbled upon a pair of baby shoes. According to Hello! Magazine, she said: “Oh, Louis had a pair like this! I can’t believe how tiny they are, he’s such a big boy now!” Kate added: “You forget how tiny they are! I remember those days. It’s a busy time, but so wonderful.”
Aside from being the main attraction at events with his fun and spunky personality, Louis is growing up to be a fun, handsome, and go-getter of a young child. We look forward to seeing what he, George and Charlotte accomplish in their lifetime! Until then, we look forward to the fun and funny sassiness that they provide during royal family public events.
