Prince William and Kate Middleton are two of the most famous figures in the British Royal Family. Beloved by the public and the press, the pair is always seen with smiling faces in public engagements and has proved their prominence as working members of the royal family. With a family of their own consisting of three children, the Cambridge couple always has events and milestones to mark in their public and private lives. During all of this, Kate Middleton has been a fashion icon for a decade now, and with a plethora of looks from casual to formal, it's no surprise why.

Throughout all of their traveling and engagements, Kate Middleton has always been noticed for her acute sense of fashion. From casual trousers to elegant ballgowns, Middleton has become a style icon for both other Brits and fans from across the pond. As a wife, mother and working royal, Middleton has embodied a sense of fashion that is accessible yet quirky, humble yet high-fashion. There have been several occasions in which Middleton has worn something and either the same garment or an equivalent dupe has sold out online within moments. After multiple dresses were suddenly sold out after Kate was seen wearing them, the phenomenon even got its own name, having been dubbed 'the Kate effect.'

Recently released videos from a video call back in March this year show Kate in all her professional, well-styled glory as she spoke with a midwife and women's health expert from Uganda. The interview was for Nursing Times, a monthly magazine for British nurses.

After a decade of marriage to Prince WilliamDuchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has established herself as a style icon. Whether she's out with her children or engaging in royal business, Middleton's always wearing something that gets people talking and sometimes even buying her exact outfits or passable dupes. Fashion news and features director of The TelegraphBethan Holt, spoke exclusively to Harper's Bazaar about just how impactful the Duchess' fashion has been over the years. Holt said that Kate's fashion has "really enhanced the image of the royal family. She's this glamorous figure people want to know about and has helped secure the next generation of the British royal family."

Holt chalks up Kate's success to her quick understanding of how style was actually a part of her job as a royal public figure. Despite the highlight of her work not being fashion, Kate has understood that her style has an impact. Holt drove home this sentiment as she said:

"Not only does it enhance the message of what she's doing that day, but also, she knows it attracts more people to what she's doing. The sad truth of the world is, if she's visiting a charity and she's wearing a brand-new dress that's really pretty, that picture will fly around the world, and lots more people will know about the charity. That's just how the world works."

Keeping this in mind, it comes as no surprise that Kate's newest eye-grabbing fashion moment took place during her charity work. Kate was interviewing Harriet Nayiga, for a special for Nursing Times magazine on the International Day of the Midwife. Nayiga herself is a midwife and founder of MILCOT (Midwife-led Community Transformation), a community project providing advice and support for vulnerable women and girls in Nansana, Uganda.

During the interview, Kate wore a stylish blue blazer without buttons or other embellishments, aside from a single silver pin near the pocket. To keep the outfit simple but yet elegant, she matched the statement piece with a subtle black top and pants. To top it off, the Duchess decided to wear her hair in a simple and yet chic half updo that kept her long luxurious bangs away from her face while keeping her style intact. All in all, Kate looks like the perfect example of a young professional at work. She wouldn't have been out of place in a modern office setting, although the background made clear that this was a home-office situation.

The Duchess was interviewing Nagiya as the final part of her three-year campaign Nursing Now. The program aimed to raise awareness about the much-needed nursing professions. Some of the pictures were released on the Kensington Royal Instagram account. The pictures were accompanied by a statement that read:

"The Duchess has marked the completion of Nursing Now, a three year global campaign to raise the status and profile of nursing, by interviewing midwife Harriet Nayiga for the May edition of Nursing Times.
Harriet spoke to The Duchess about her work in Uganda 🇺🇬 as a nurse and as the founder of MILCOT (Midwife-led Community Transformation), a community organization providing advice and support for vulnerable women and girls."

The statement concluded with an overview of what the program had already achieved during the last three years:

"Over the last three years more than 31,000 young professionals have signed up for Nursing Now's Nightingale Challenge, 64 Nursing Now groups have reported increased investment in nursing and there has also been an increase of nurses in leadership positions, as Chief Nursing Officers and on boards, who are able to exercise greater influence in shaping policy and service delivery."
