Kate Middleton Is Model Of A Future Queen, According To Royal Writer

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is typically friendly, happy and wonderful when she meets her fans out and about in public — even at official engagements. She has been known to even pose and take pictures with a few lucky admirers.

However, she has had to learn some boundaries over the years. Being part of the royal family comes with a lot of greatness — not to mention fame — but also a lot of responsibilities. While most members of the family typically decline requests for pictures, specifically selfies, Middleton has seemed to embrace her loving fans and has allowed just a handful of them to pose with her. She has been held to a high standard during her time within the family and has made an effort to exceed those expectations.

The Duchess of Cambridge is known for being poised and classy at all times and that has tied into her daily responsibilities as a member of the royal family. She constantly showcases her beauty and grace with everything from her impeccable sense of style to her smart mannerisms and attitude. There are a handful of rules that all royals have to follow, including Middleton.

While she likes showing her appreciation for her fans when she is out in public, she is always making sure to follow the guideline of not signing autographs for them, as it poses too much of a risk. This is only one of the many ways the Duchess continues to prove that she is very conscientious and perfect for the job of future queen.

Ten years ago, Kate Middleton and Prince William had one of the most highly publicized weddings ever. Their union has seen them not only begin a life and family together — alongside their three gorgeous children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — but they've traveled the world doing their official royal and charitable work. Following the massively publicized wedding, the royal couple has become a staple of the UK media scene. From charity work, motivational appearances, to shows of support for workers, the British armed forces, or minorities, the Duke and Duchess have worked hard to keep up their image as approachable but diligent and honest members of the royal family. They have been one of the most talked-about families in the public eye, which has only increased since they relocated to Kensington Palace. The Duke and Duchess have also been seen more in the news since their recent role elevation due to the pandemic.

It comes as no surprise that according to official data from YouGov, an international research data and analytics group, Kate and William are considered the 2nd and 3rd most popular members of royalty worldwide. Place number one on the list is, of course, Queen Elizabeth herself. According to YouGov, 61% of all people asked claimed to have a positive opinion of William and 59% claimed the same of Kate.

Interestingly enough, YouGov also tracks fame separately to popularity, defining it as "the % of people who have heard of a royalty." In this ranking, William holds the second place as well, beating out even the queen.

Kate only ranks in place ten, but this is surely going to change when she takes the title of queen in the future. Already, people are looking forward to this, right now far off, day. This is partly due to the way the royal couple tries to stay down-to-earth and humble in their lives.

One such occasion was Kate taking Prince George and Princess Charlotte shopping at Smiggle in London on April 19. Smiggle is a children's stationery store that offers a variety of backpacks, school supplies and other fun items. Kate must have brought her children there to pick out some supplies for their recent return to school.

Twitter user @lexif1980 shared details on her personal account about the sighting, which took place in one of her stores. She wrote:

"I've always been a Kate Middleton fan... today she was in one of my stores on the King's Road with George and Charlotte, what the team told me about how she was with them and how the kids were with each other makes me like her even more! I wasn't there but she talked to my team, the kids had a budget that they stuck to and paid for their own things with their own money. Just normal well brought up children and a normal parent trying to do the right thing and that's just lovely!"

It is indeed lovely to see children who have grown up with so much media attention behave just like anyone else.

The Telegraph quoted royal writer Penny Junor as describing the Duchess as a "model of what a future queen should be" ever since her joining the House of Windsor.

"I think she has been absolutely extraordinary and a model of what a future queen should be. She has got such poise and elegance and she's not in competition with William. She doesn't seem to be seeking fame. Everything about her is measured. She's a grown-up. She seems to care a lot about everything she's put her name to. And she's very good with people but she's not on an ego trip and I think that is absolutely crucial in that role."
