Kate Middleton is paying tribute to the late Princess Diana while on her royal tour in Pakistan. The duchess stepped out in an outfit created by the late princess’s favorite designer while meeting the country’s prime minister. Middleton is also embracing Pakistani fashion without straying too far away from her own unique style.

The mother of three was glowing in a turquoise shalwar-kameez by fashion designer Catherine Walker when she stepped off the plane for her first day on tour. The outfit is the national dress of Pakistan which includes a long gown over pants. The ombre shift of the turquoise color appearing lighter towards Kate’s torso and then getting darker towards her feet gave the dress an effortless appeal.

The designer, Catherine Walker, was one of Princess Diana’s favorites. Walker had designed more than 1,000 items for the late princess including the gown Diana was buried in according to The National.

Middleton’s latest outfit choice by the designer is an emerald coat dress over beige pants. The duchess added Pakistani labels to dress up the rest of her garb. The items included a golden and green scarf from Bonanza Satrangi and dangly gold earrings from Zeen according to Vogue. Middleton paired her outfit with suede pumps and a matching clutch. Kate attended a meeting with Pakistan’s prime minister, Imran Khan, who People reports was a friend of the late Princess Diana.

Kensington Palace released a statement about Kate and Prince William’s royal tour of Pakistan saying that it is heavily focused on education.

"Throughout the tour, Their Royal Highnesses will visit programs which empower young people, and organizations that help ensure they have the best possible start in life,” the Palace wrote. “ Access to quality education, particularly to girls and young women is one of the UK’s top priorities in Pakistan. The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to spending time meeting young Pakistanis, and hearing more about their aspirations for the future.”
