The Duchess Of Cambridge sported a long white gown featuring golden details for her much-awaited appearance on the red carpet this evening.

The Duchess donned the Alexander McQueen original for a second time, in line with the new sustainability guideline promoted by the BAFTAs this year. The gown was previously worn by the Duchess in 2012 at a dinner hosted by Malaysia’s head of state.

According to the Independent, the BAFTAs asked guests attending this year to wear a sustainable outfit, in support of its attempt to be a carbon-neutral awards ceremony.

The London College of Fashion suggested guests either re-wear an outfit from a past event or rent an ensemble. Various renting websites were also suggested as well as a number of sustainable fashion brands.

This year’s award ceremony will also serve vegan food exclusively.
