Kate Middleton And Prince George’s Behind-The-Scenes Footage With Tom Cruise Shows Just How Relatable Royals Are

July was a very important and sporty month for the U.K., especially for the royal family. Express reported that Kate Middleton was able to attend the Wimbledon Finals, which were set to take place on July 10 and 11. She attended the women's final with Prince William and the men's final on her own. William also attended the UEFA Euro 2020 soccer game, which took place on the same day as the Wimbledon match.
The final match between England and Italy took place on July 11, 2021, and all England fans were devastated to lose after coming so far, especially Prince George, who was at the match along with his parents. George is not like any other kid in the world — he is most certainly going to be the King of England one day, so he will be protected at all costs, but nothing could shelter the young prince from England's devastating loss.
The final match attracted a lot of famous personalities who watched from the VIP box, including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie, David Beckham, Kate Moss and Tom Cruise. Though the royal family members are celebrities in their own right, their starstruck reactions to the presence of other major celebs shows that royals are just like us. One of these small moments of celebrity-awe was captured between Cruise and the Cambridges, and it is as adorable as can be!
The final match also showed that George — though he may be a future king — is like any other kid who loves sports. He was filled with joy when England scored their first goal, and as both teams headed into penalty shoot-outs, he seemed as nervous as the rest of the U.K. for the final result.

As the final Euro 2020 game went into overtime and left fans around the world on the edge of their seats, it was clear that one side would be devastated by the loss after such a fast-paced and exciting match. As England came to terms with their loss, George, too, was one of the people in the stadium who was deeply affected by the loss.
However, there were some exciting events throughout the match as well, such as England scoring their first goal early on. When this happened, George took the chance to embrace his mom and dad out of sheer joy, and fans loved seeing the rare public display of affection between the royals.
This was the second time that George attended a Euro 2020 match with his parents — his first public match with his parents had ended far more happily after England defeated Germany and went ahead into the semi-finals on June 29, 2021. The sweet moment between George and his parents was caught on camera, as was his unfettered delight at the prospect of a potential win, and it showed that George is just like any other kid when it comes to soccer.
George wore a fitted suit that matched his father's, which he had done previously when he attended the England versus Germany match that saw England progress into the semi-finals. After this, George was labeled as England's "lucky charm," according to News.com.au. The Euro 2020 final gave England the opportunity to fight for the cup, which they have not won since 1966. Naturally, the devastating loss was deep for all English fans in the stadium, and George could not hide his distress either at the end of the nail-biting game.

However, the sweet moment when George hugged his parents in glee has already captured hearts across the world. After watching the video, one fan commented, "One of the sweetest royal moments ever! It's not surprising that the babies are such cuddle monsters. With W&K as their parents, the little ones will grow up just as affectionate. They've already inherited their parents' love of sports."
Another sweet moment was caught on camera by a fan lucky enough to be seated right behind the VIP box where all the celebrities were present. Marie Claire reported that William and Kate shared a smile with Hollywood star Tom Cruise, who was seen politely letting the Cambridges past him after the match ended. As the family passed by Cruise, they reportedly were slightly star struck and showed us that royals are just like any of us! Certainly, any of us passing by Cruise would have had the same reaction.
Cruise has previously already been acquainted with the royals. He met the late Prince Philip at a Buckingham Palace dinner to mark the 75th anniversary of the Outward Bound Trust in 2017, and he also attended Princess Diana's funeral in 1997 with his then-wife Nicole Kidman, according to Hello! Magazine.
Cruise, 59, had reportedly been shooting in London for his latest film, "Mission: Impossible 7." He had quite the weekend as he attended both Wimbledon finals, along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as the Euro 2020 final and Goodwood Festival of Speed. This was quite an exciting lineup, and we are sure that both the royals and the Hollywood star had a story to tell after this meeting!
