Kate Hudson is an extremely talented woman that comes from a family full of talented individuals. She is best known for her work as an actress but also has her own fitness brand, proving that she is also a great businesswoman. On top of that, Hudson has earned countless awards and is continuing to make her mark in the entertainment industry.

Born to famous parents, Hudson began acting on stage at the age of 11. She later made her film debut in 1998 when she portrayed Kate Davidson in "Desert Blue."

Her breakthrough role came two years later when she played the role of a groupie in Cameron Crowe's semi-autobiographical dramedy "Almost Famous." Hudson received the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her dazzling performance in Crowe's film.

She quickly became the "it” girl of the 2000s. Screen Rant crowned Hudson as the queen of romantic comedies for her charming performances in "Bride Wars," "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and "Raising Helen."

In 2022, Hudson made a huge comeback on screen as Birdie Jay in “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.” Since then, the actress has been on a roll and has been busy with her new projects while managing her business and raising her three children.

With a lot going on, Hudson never fails to keep her beauty routine intact. In an Elle Magazine interview, Hudson graciously shared one of her beauty secrets, which could be found in almost every kitchen in America, that has been responsible for the glossy and beautiful skin we all see on the screen.

In 2022, Hudson shared with Allure that her beauty routine has changed over the years.

"Oh, God. It changes, doesn't it, (as) you get older? Beauty. That word. It's such an important word because I'm a believer that it starts with what you eat and how you take care of yourself and how you sleep. For me, beauty is about how we feel. What are we doing in our lives that make us feel good? And then it emanates," she said.

Having been on endless movie sets and red carpets, the star has had her fair share of the glitz and glam that comes with her career. But these days, she said she is going for a more simple look.

Often using the "no filter" look on her social media pages, Hudson is proud of how she looks for her age. In her book "Pretty Happy" she shared that feeling good from the inside is what brings out radiant confidence:

"When you understand yourself and connect to how you can become body smart, you realize pretty quickly that the perfect, the ideal, is not the goal. Instead, (it is) feeling good in your body. That's what leads to confidence, to feeling and looking fit, and being pretty happy."

Besides promoting products that she created, as well as sponsored products, Hudson also promotes beauty tips and tricks that anyone can follow. The best part about them is they are free.

"Drink water and get sleep! Whenever my skin is not feeling great, it's usually because I'm dehydrated. And it really won't matter what you put on your skin if you're not drinking enough water or getting enough sleep," she told Byrdie.

In a chat with Elle Magazine, Hudson revealed yet another all-natural ingredient she uses in her beauty routine.

Olive oil is one of the staple ingredients in anyone’s kitchen all over the country, if not the entire world. Believe it or not, Hudson uses olive oil as part of her beauty routine.

“For me, ya just drink it. Tablespoon, any kind of extra virgin olive oil. Even when I’m cooking, I know this sounds crazy, but I’ll put olive oil on my hands, and I’ll use it, and I’ll just wipe that on my face, and people are like? But you’re supposed to eat it, and I’m like no, it goes everywhere,” she told Elle Magazine.

According to Healthline, olive oil is actually good for the skin. This is because the said ingredient is rich in vitamins A, D, K and E; and even has antioxidant properties that might help prevent or reverse damage caused by cancer-causing ultraviolet radiation. Olive oil, when it's an ingredient in other cosmetic products like soap, is even thought to be effective on acne-prone skin as it moisturizes and hydrates the skin.

“It feels amazing. Just try it. Just put it on your skin and you’ll be like omg! You have all of these face oils and things…olive oil on your skin is amazing,” Hudson further explained.

A Byrdie report also said that using olive oil on one’s skin is also great for breaking down substances like waterproof mascara and eyeliner as an alternative to micellar water or any makeup removers.

Olive oil also contains anti-inflammatory agents that could help heal wounds because of the Triterpenes present in it. The publication also advises people that, like any other essential oil, olive oil could be left overnight on the face, but there is no reason to apply so much that it is dripping wet – just make sure to remember that “less is more” when it comes to using this beauty ingredient!
