Kate Hudson Says Daughter Rani, 2, Already Started Taking Her Shoes And Copying Her Workouts

May 07, 2021 by apost team

Kate Hudson belongs to one of Hollywood's favorite families — her mom is actress Goldie Hawn while her stepdad is Kurt Russell. The couple has been together since 1983 after initially meeting in 1966 while filming together. However, they reconnected on the set of their film "Swing Shift," and have been inseparable ever since, even going on to star in further movies together after becoming romantically involved. However, the couple never chose to get married.

They each brought children to their partnership, Hawn with Oliver and Kate Hudson, and Russell with Boston Russell, who he shares with ex-wife Season Hubley. Together, the couple shares son Wyatt Russell. With many of the kids following their parents into acting, the showbiz family is often seen supporting each other at premieres or spending quality time together, some of which they share on social media.

But one noticeable thing about the family is that Hawn and daughter Kate are the only two women among a sea of men. This has probably only made them closer, as their relationship is a very tight one, with the mother and daughter often appearing together in interviews.

Furthermore, there are simply some things that only a mother and daughter can understand. And Kate, who has three children of her own, is finally having that experience for herself, as her third child is a little girl, 2-year-old Rani Rose, who she shares with filmmaker Danny Fujikawa. She recently went on the record and spoke about how her daughter is already copying her and stealing from her wardrobe!

Kate Hudson is an incredibly well-known actress, but she's also a mom to three children and definitely knows the importance of family. All different ages, her kids include her eldest child Ryder, who is 17 and whose father is rock musician Chris Robinson. Bingham, her second child, is 9 years old and his dad is another rock musician, Matt Bellamy of the band Muse. And finally, Kate's third child is daughter Rani Rose, 2, who she shares with filmmaker Danny Fujikawa

Now that she finally has a daughter of her own, Kate is becoming well-versed in just how different it can be to raise a girl, and she's even seeing comparisons to her and Goldie Hawn. Opening up to People, Kate explained:

"She comes in my closet, the shoes are gone ... I even have video of her saying, 'Mine. It's mine.'"

Honestly, if our mother was an Oscar-nominated actress who regularly attends red-carpet events, we'd be taking over her closet too! What's sweet is that Kate is able to see the comparisons to what she's going through with Rani and her own relationship with her mom. She revealed that she still steals items from Hawn:

"Her closet, her products, her vitamins, they're all mine. I use them. I don't ask."

But unfortunately for Kate, Hawn doesn't hold on to everything and over the years has let go of many of her clothes. She said in the same interview:

"Mom is really good at purging and not keeping anything. So she kept none of her old clothes, and when I got older, I was like, 'Where are those Elia pumps, Mom? Where did you put all of those amazing dresses you wore?' And Mom's like, 'I don't know.'"

But thankfully for Rani, Kate is just the opposite of Hawn when it comes to keeping things, as she told People:

"It's the opposite of Mom. I have everything. I was looking through some of the archives, and I said, when Rani is 16 and opens up this box, I'm going to live through her."

The phenomenon of girls raiding their mom's closets isn't only limited to celebrity children, rather it's a universal thing that many people can understand. After all, many girls love to be their mother's mini-me and take inspiration from them. Kate certainly has her own mini-me who she often shares sweet photos of on her Instagram, only proving just how close they are. In one image Kate is attempting to meditate while Rani lays on top of her. In the caption Kate jokes:

"Meditating with my girl. She made it a good 10 seconds! Sunday milestone ;) ☀️"

At least she can laugh about it! In another post, she shared a photo of the two of them taking a bubble bath and they both have the same wide cheeky grin. Sharon Stone even commented, "She is an actual mini you," and she's not wrong.

On top of raiding her closet, Rani likes to exercise with Kate, who co-owns her own athletics wear company named Fabletics. Kate said in the same People interview:

"She wants to work out with me. She gets on there, she's doing her butt exercises. She kind of does her own version of them. Turns into a little bit more of a dance move. I'm learning so quickly that this whole 'everything that is mom's is yours' when you're a girl is real."

She's 100 percent right about that!

What do you think about Rani Rose copying and stealing from her mom Kate Hudson? Do you have any similar examples in your own life? If you found this article too sweet for words then pass it on to those you know to bring a smile to their face!
