Apr 04, 2019 by apost team

Kate Hudson has always had a reputation for being a progressive mother. The famous Hollywood actress and entrepreneur is now expanding this role even more as she raises her new daughter.

Hudson was already a mother to 15-year-old Ryder and 7-year-old Bingham when she recently gave birth to a baby girl. I an interview with AOL, Hudson has admitted that raising Rani Rose is already different than being a mother to boys.

However, Hudson is adamant about raising her daughter with a genderless approach, stating that Rani will not be treated any differently than Ryder and Bingham.

Hudson said that it is important to raise children as individuals and to not conform to societal norms.

It doesn’t really change my approach, but there’s definitely a difference. I think you just raise your kids individually regardless - like a genderless [approach]. We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as. I will say that, right now, she is incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds and her way. It’s very different from the boys, and it’s really fun to actually want to buy kids’ clothes. With the boys it was just like onesies … actually, I did pretty good with the boys. [Laughs] But with her it’s a whole other ball game. There’s some stuff that I’m like, “I can’t do that to her, because it’s so over-the-top.”

Her holiday outfit was especially adorable, featuring red roses covering her romper and matching hat.

Hudson's own childhood is an inspiration and guide for how she wants to raise her daughter.

The actress said that growing up with brothers made her a tougher person. Hudson is not the first Hollywood celebrity to jump on the bandwagon of genderless parenting. Pink, Angelina Jolie, and Adele have also embraced this parenting philosophy.
