Kansas Police Find A Camel, A Cow, And A Donkey Lost On A Road

This time of year, when you see a camel, a cow, and a donkey together, it’s usually in a manger scene on your grandmother’s coffee table. However, a recent spotting of the three animals together wasn’t part of a Bible story – although it may be a sign of the approaching Christmas season.

The three animals were spotted making their way down a Kansas road side-by-side. As it turns out, the animals were not just out for a stroll down the street. They had managed to escape their pens together and were enjoying the chance to stretch their legs and try out their newfound freedom before someone could catch them.

With Christmas just around the corner, the police that located the animals found that it was the perfect opportunity to make some jokes online. In a Facebook post, Captain Lance Beagley states that they were making their way toward a “northern star” and also teased that, if the owner couldn’t be located, he now had half of what he needed for a live nativity scene.

While the police might have been hoping to set up the nativity scene, it wasn’t long before the animals’ owner located them. Working as a wildlife park employee, the owner is surely used to dealing with crazy animals and was glad to have them back home.

As of now, the owner has yet to come forward and give any comments about his wayward animals. We’re sure that he’s probably scratching his head, wondering how all three of them managed to escape at the same time!

The animals were very friendly despite being on the run and that the officials were able to move them off the road with nothing more than a gentle nudge.

The police might have been glad to encounter some fugitives that were friendly; however, we’re also sure that they are glad to have the animals back with their owner and safe in their pens. The only question is, how long can they be contained before they break out again and hit the road for a second time?

We can’t blame these sweet animals for wanting to escape and go on an adventure every so often. We only wish them well and hope that their journeys and forced returns are always this easy-going!
