Six-year-old Luke Spring and his dance instructor, Justin M. Lewis, performed at the DC Tap Festival in 2011 and mesmerized everyone in the crowd.

As young Luke Spring stepped on stage at the DC Tap Festival back in 2011 he had no idea that he was about to become famous as a tap-dancing prodigy.

For his performance, the six-year-old teamed up with Justin M. Lewis, his dance instructor. Lewis, a professional tap dancer who had already performed on a great number of stages all around the country, is the Artistic Director at Studio Bleu Dance Center in Ashburn Virginia where he first got to know his talented student, Luke Spring.

The moment the two started their routine at the DC Tap Festival the crowd was speechless but soon started cheering when the duo performed one incredible tap dance step after another. People just couldn’t believe that a six-year-old was able to tap dance like a professional at such a young age.

Soon after their performance at the DC Tap Festival word got around that about the tap-dancing prodigy Luke Spring. It didn’t take long until the young dancer got invited to famous talk shows like the Ellen DeGeneres Show and got cast in Broadway shows such as A Christmas Story on Broadway.

Luke’s parents discovered his passion for tap dance when he was only four years old. They saw it in his eyes the moment he put on dancing shoes for the first time ever. That’s why they decided to sign him up for dance lessons with a number of instructors.

One of them turned out to be the perfect fit: Justin M. Lewis. He too saw Luke’s passion for tap dance and together they started performing as a teacher-student duo captivating the crowds with their breathtaking routines.
