On Friday, pop icons Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber dropped their duet Stuck With U along with an accompanying music video, featuring fellow celebrities and fans practicing social distancing in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Grande and Bieber announced that they would donate proceeds from the single to the First Responders Children’s Foundation.
The charity funds grants and scholarships for the kids of healthcare workers who work on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to People. A few hours before the duo shared the charity single with their fans, Grande took to social media to announce the collaboration.
"I can’t fully articulate ……… howwwww happy I am that we waited this long to do this (the duet thing). this moment really means so much more than it ever could have if it had happened any other way or if it had been any other song. being able to lend our voices to this project and collaborating on this has been so fulfilling and I really just love this song so much," Grande wrote on Instagram along with a clip from the music video.

Celebrities who make an appearance in the video include Michael Bublé, sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Ayesha and Stephen Curry, Chance the Rapper, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lil Dicky, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich and Jaden Smith. With that star power, along with Bieber and Grande’s notoriety on social media, the music video has amassed more than 4 million views within just ten hours of posting. The video was also trending on YouTube as of Friday.
Leading up to the music video’s premiere last week, Bieber and Grande announced their collaboration with the First Responders Children's Foundation along with an instrumental version of the song, encouraging community members and fans to record their own videos that would eventually be edited and included in the final version released this Friday, People reports.

“Help us make the #StuckwithU video. I want to see you guys having fun in quarantine. This is the prom song for everyone who can’t go to prom now,” Bieber wrote on his Instagram. “Tweet us videos using #stuckwithu or #stuckwithuvideo of you in your prom dresses or suits with your loved ones having fun or dancing to the instrumental. If you don’t have that just have fun with your loved ones.”
In the heartwarming video, fans, families, teens in prom dresses, pets and celebrities dance throughout. In a direct reference to the coronavirus outbreak, some hold up signs thanking healthcare professionals who are risking their lives to fight the COVID-19 outbreak. And while Bieber and his wife, Hailey Baldwin, have been relatively discreet about their relationship, the couple also makes an appearance in the video. The video also features Grande’s new boyfriend, Dalton Gomez, according to People.
The President of the First Responders Children’s Foundation, Jillian Crane, thanked Bieber and Grande for donating the song’s proceeds to the organization in a statement obtained by People this week, writing that through their efforts the two singers would be “using the power of their music to lift the spirits of first responders responding to this crisis.”
As of early May, People reports that the foundation has already paid for thousands of hotel rooms, organized funerals and distributed $2 million in grants to support families — all in support of first responders.
