Just One Day After Finale, 'America's Got Talent' Star Is Arrested For Domestic Violence

Michael Ketterer is a mental health nurse for children. Most people know him best for his performance on “America's Got Talent.” His amazing performance was so good that it even made Simon Cowell cry. The 41-year-old man may have become famous for his singing, but he is now in the news for an entirely different reason.

The finale of the show made Michael famous, but he did not get to enjoy his newfound fame for long. A day after the finale, the singer was charged with domestic violence by his wife.

Reports show that the police were called to the couple's hotel room because of their fighting. When the police officers entered the room, they broke the couple up. They could see that Michael's wife had a red mark on her body.

His wife did not want to press charges, but the officers arrested him anyway. Since they could see an indication of abuse, they were bound by law to arrest Michael.

Michael was ultimately released from jail with a $50,000 bond. While he faces felony charges, these charges will most likely be turned into a misdemeanor because his wife's injuries are fairly minor.

The greatest punishment will not come from the justice system. Since news of the charges broke out, Michael's popularity has plummeted. One of the high-profile events that had been scheduled for after the finale was canceled.

Because of Michael's voice and his work as a nurse, he was an instantly popular contestant on “America's Got Talent.” He also attracted fans because of his role as worship leader in his church. Michael and his wife have six children together.

It seemed like Michael had the perfect image as a father, churchgoer and nurse. Now, his entire image is destroyed by the charges. Michael has said that the entire incident was just a misunderstanding, but many fans do not believe him.

After the charges, comments had to be disabled on his photos because of the backlash. Many of his diehard fans are now furious about the situation. They loved him because of his image, but it now seems like his reputation was based on lies.

Around the world, millions of fans voted for Michael every week. Many of these fans feel like they were betrayed.

In the show, Simon Cowell is known for his abrasive, harsh critiques. When it came to Michael's performance, the legendary judge was in tears. He even offered to connect Michael to Garth Brooks. Michael ended up singing a song by Garth Brooks in the finale. Afterward, he was supposed to perform at a concert with the country superstar. It seemed like Michael's career was off to an amazing start.

Now, Michael's career hopes are gone. Garth Brooks called Michael to talk about the upcoming charges. According to Garth, they mutually decided that it would be better for Garth to perform without him.

Interestingly, some fans are actually angry at “America's Got Talent.” They feel like the show deliberately created Michael's person to boost their ratings. Whether his image was real or not, it has definitely been destroyed now. If the charges against Michael are true, none of his former fans will mind that his career is over with.
