Julia Roberts Shares Rare Glimpse of Marriage to Danny Moder While Celebrating 24th Anniversary

Julia Roberts and Danny Moder are celebrating another major milestone in one of Hollywood’s most enduring love stories.

The Oscar-winning actress marked 24 years of marriage with her husband on July 4, 2026, a remarkable achievement in an industry where long-lasting relationships can be hard to come by. Roberts and the cinematographer first met while working on the 2000 film “The Mexican,” before tying the knot in a private ceremony at her ranch in Taos, New Mexico, on Independence Day in 2002. “I always say that the first kind of real ‘seismic shift’ was meeting Danny,” she said. “Marrying Danny. That was the first, like, my life will never be the same in the most incredible, indescribable way.”

Roberts went on to explain that every meaningful part of her life since then has grown out of that relationship, describing her husband as the foundation for everything that followed. Rather than viewing marriage as something that competed with her career, she suggested it enriched every aspect of her life.

Even after decades in the entertainment industry, Roberts continues to embrace new projects while balancing them with family life. She recently shared an update on another subject fans have long been curious about — a possible sequel to her beloved 1997 romantic comedy “My Best Friend’s Wedding.”

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the actress admitted she’d happily revisit one of her classic films, revealing that “My Best Friend’s Wedding” would probably be her top choice if she could bring back one of her past characters. However, she noted that no sequel is currently in development, despite years of speculation from fans eager to see Julianne Potter’s story continue.

For now, though, Roberts appears happiest celebrating the life she’s already built. To mark the couple’s 24th wedding anniversary, she shared a rare Instagram selfie showing the pair enjoying a sunny day together. Resting her head affectionately on Moder’s shoulder as they smiled for the camera in matching dark sunglasses, Roberts kept her caption simple but heartfelt:

“TWENTY ❤️🤍💙 FOUR. MORE MORE MORE 🤩” — a brief message that perfectly captured more than two decades of love.
