Julia Roberts ‘Can’t Stop Kissing’ Husband Daniel Moder Amid 20th Wedding Anniversary

Julia Roberts has been one of the top leading ladies in Hollywood since she starred in the 1990 film "Pretty Woman," which is still one of the roles she is most remembered for. The star has received numerous accolades for her acting, including an Academy Award and three Golden Globes. 

Born on Oct. 28, 1967, near Atlanta, Georgia, Roberts grew up wanting to become a veterinarian. However, her plans changed as she grew a bit older, and she decided to take the jump and move to New York City to pursue a career in acting. There, she signed with a modeling agency and began taking acting classes. 

It's clear that Roberts' leap of faith worked out, as she has since become one of the most recognized and established actresses of all time. Roberts is also known for being extremely beautiful and kind-hearted, helping her earn even more adoration from fans and critics alike.

However, despite being one of the most famous people in the world, the actress does her best to keep herself and her family away from the public eye. In keeping with her private nature, Roberts didn't marry another celebrity; instead, she married cinematographer Daniel Moder in 2002.

The couple met on the set of the movie "The Mexican," where Moder had been a cameraman and Roberts the leading lady. Together they have three children — twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, 17, and a son named Henry, 15.

Roberts’ road to finding true love was not a straight line — in fact, the actress went through many potential suitors before she found her soulmate. After first finding fame in the late 1980s, Roberts often dated her co-stars or other actors. Some of the famous men she dated over the years include Liam Neeson, Dylan McDermott, Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Matthew Perry and Benjamin Bratt. She was also briefly married to Lyle Lovett.

After years of being a runaway bride, including one marriage and multiple engagements that she ended herself, Roberts finally found the one when she met her future husband — Moder. Although Moder isn't an actor like most of her other exes, he and Roberts did meet on a movie set. A cameraman, Moder had worked on "The Mexican," the 2001 movie in which Roberts starred alongside Brad Pitt. 

However, there was a small issue before the couple got together — Moder was still married to his first wife, Vera Steimberg, when he and Roberts met. Nevertheless, Moder ended his marriage soon after, and their love proved to be the real deal. They tied the knot on July 4, 2002, at Roberts’ ranch in Taos, New Mexico. In November 2004, they welcomed twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel, and welcomed their third child, Henry, in June 2007.

Over the years, Roberts has done well at living a relatively private life despite being one of Hollywood’s leading ladies. However, the actress has still given her fans a few glimpses into her personal life from time to time.

In her interview with Gwyneth Paltrow for the GOOP Podcast in 2018, Roberts uncharacteristically opened up about how incredibly special the connection she shares with Moder is. She said:

"I think that first kind of real 'seismic shift' was meeting Danny, getting married to Danny ... That was the first like, my life will never be the same in the most incredible, indescribable way."

She continued to praise her husband and described him as her "favorite human." She added:

"He truly, to this day, to this minute is just my favorite human ... I'm more interested in what he has to say or his point of view just (more) than anybody. Really, we're so lucky in that way. We just really, really like each other and we just enjoy each other's company."

Roberts continued as she revealed that things fell into place very easily for them, and there is “some kind of some explicable harmony” to the way they operate. If it wasn't already obvious that Roberts is completely enamored with Moder, she made it clear when she said:

"He's the best decision I've ever made."

Now, Roberts and Moder have been married for an incredible 20 years. The actress commemorated the milestone with a heartwarming Instagram post. She uploaded a picture of her and her husband kissing sweetly with the caption: “⭐️TWENTY⭐️ #can’tstopsmiling 😊 #can’tstopkissing 😘”

There's no doubt Roberts has found the one in Moder, and together they've raised their kids in a loving family. Back in 2020, an insider told Closer Weekly that "(Roberts and Moder) truly feel like soulmates," and added that the couple is "committed to staying together for the long haul, whatever it takes.”
