Judges Didn’t Think He Could Sing A Country Song — His Incredible Voice Has To Be Heard To Be Believed

'Mongolian Cowboy' Enkh Erdene stunned the crowd with his rendition of George Strait's Amarillo By Morning at Mongolia's Got Talent in 2016.

Country music is enjoyed all over the world, even as far as Mongolia! When this guy stepped onto the stage, it seemed unlikely that he would do a country song.

Enkh Erdene is a singer and "Mongolian Cowboy," who won season two of Mongolia's Got TalentFor his audition in 2016, he chose to sing a country song, something one wouldn't expect to hear at a talent competition on TV in Mongolia.

The singer can’t speak or understand English well, but that didn’t stop him from hitting the stage with a George Strait cover.

Enkh, who just 20 years old at that time, stunned the crowd and the judges the moment he revealed his rich, dulcet tones as he sang"Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone," the opening line of George Strait's Amarillo By Morning.

The crowd started clapping along to his singing and the judges wore expressions of disbelief in what they were hearing. They couldn't believe the voice that was coming out from this young man.

If you were to close your eyes and listen to the performance, you might even mistake him to be George Strait himself.

Getting over the impressiveness of his authentic-sounding country tone, the judges proceed to the next stage of enjoying the audition by dancing and swaying along to Enkh's singing. Spoiler alert: He won that season!
