Judges Amazed When Teen With Stutter Sings On 'The Voice'

Strength and passion are what you hear when Harrison Craig sings. Still in his teens, Harrison is wise beyond his years. He demonstrates what can be accomplished when you face your challenges and fight through them, using them to make you stronger.
Harrison Craig, a native of Melbourne, Australia, stunned the judges with his performance on the second season of the Australian show “The Voice.”

When you hear Harrison’s life story, you begin to understand all that he has overcome to fulfill his dreams. Harrison was just six-years-old when his father left Harrison and his family. This ordeal made Harrison’s stutter, which he had since birth, become worse.
Over the years, kids at school were relentless with their teasing and mocking. However, at age nine Harrison began singing in the children’s choir.
He discovered that his singing voice was confident and fluent, hitting every note and word without hesitation.
Harrison’s mother, Janine, and his brother, Connor, have always been his biggest fans. His mother nurtured his talent for singing by steering him toward activities that would expand his God-given gift.
The support from his family has been a key ingredient in Harrison’s success.
The judges, audience, and those who love the show have followed Harrison’s progress from the beginning where they first saw him hesitate while speaking during his audition. Remarkably, his voice was seamless when he sang. Harrison performed “Broken Vow” for his audition. The judges were wowed, but that was only the start!
As Harrison was onstage again for his semi-final number, he effortlessly belted out “Unchained Melody,” the familiar hit by The Righteous Brothers. It was an expressive and powerful rendition; people couldn’t contain themselves. Jaws dropped, applause erupted and the spectators rose to their feet in admiration.
