This year has been something of a rollercoaster for the Royal Family. From the Sussexes stepping down as senior royals to Prince Charles testing positive for the Coronavirus, its safe to say 2020 has been a somewhat tumultuous year for Queen Elizabeth II.
Amid all the adversity, however, some good news is finally coming out from Buckingham Palace: the public will get to celebrate the Queens official birthday this year, albeit in a much more toned-down ceremony than previous years.

Speaking to Hello magazine, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace confirmed that there will be a ceremony in honor of the Queen for her official 94th birthday.
"There will be a small, brief, military ceremony at Windsor Castle to mark The Queen's official birthday," they said in a statement.

Understandably, however, the celebration will be notably smaller than the traditionally-elaborate ceremony, dubbed Trooping the Colour. Instead, a small parade to salute the Queen will take place at Windsor Castle, where she and her husband are currently self-isolating.
According to the Daily Mail, the parade will include a small contingent of men from Lieutenant Colonel Henry Llewelyn-Usher’s regiment, the Welsh Guards, and lastly, a reduced group of the massed Bands of the Household Division.
Earnest Royal fans will not be able to attend to watch the parade as would usually happen. Instead, the event is likely to be broadcast live by the BBC.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2020. It is until now unclear if other members of the Royal family will be taking advantage of the easing of lockdown measures to attend the event.
