One of Hollywood's iconic actors is "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp. He has appeared in several of director Tim Burton's films throughout his illustrious career, including "Edward Scissorhands," "Sleepy Hollow," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Alice in Wonderland." Depp is widely regarded as one of the world's most famous movie stars and was listed as the highest-paid actor by Guinness World Records in 2012.

Depp dropped out of high school and began his career as a musician before moving into acting. He made his movie debut in 1984 with the horror film "A Nightmare on Elm Street." The actor then became a household name with his success on the television series "21 Jump Street." Some of the star's other notable films include "What’s Eating Gilbert Grape," "Finding Neverland" and "Donnie Brasco."

In his personal life, Depp has been married and divorced twice. He has also had long-term relationships with other women, including Winona Ryder, Kate Moss and Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his two children. Paradis and Depp were together from 1998 to 2012.

Depp has been in the press a lot, especially after his private life started unfolding in public. In 2015, he married Amber Heard, but she filed for a divorce in 2016, and more information regarding their relationship has since become known amid their highly publicized trial.

After a tumultuous last two years, Depp has now reached a new point in his life. Not only have his recent troubles ended, but a movie comeback is also on the horizon as well. Through all of the ups and downs, his fans have been by his side, and Depp has been sure to show just how much he appreciates them.

When he was just a teenager, Depp dreamed of becoming a rockstar. He initially dropped out of high school to pursue a career in the music industry, but unfortunately, his band ended up breaking up. However, Depp’s talent never faded and he is now in a band called the Hollywood Vampires alongside Alice Cooper and Joe Perry.

Before becoming the legend he is today, though, Depp had to start out somewhere, and he changed directions from music to acting. Soon enough, Depp was going out for auditions and successfully landed the part of the main character's boyfriend in the Wes Craven 1984 classic horror film "A Nightmare on Elm Street." Even though Depp didn't have acting experience, he continued to impress casting agents and directors and landed more and more roles. By the end of the 1980s, Depp was a certified teen idol, thanks in part to his role in the TV series "21 Jump Street."

However, being a teen sensation wasn't exactly the lifestyle Depp expected to live, so he began pursuing roles that he found more interesting. As the established star began working with Tim Burton, his resumé quickly became more eclectic with each passing film. Many of their films together went on to find great success and are still considered cult classics today.

Sadly, Depp faced some career setbacks in the late 2010s and early 2020s due to a myriad of reasons. As a result, Depp didn't act in many major films for some time, and it was unclear which direction his career was headed.

However, back in January 2022, Variety reported that Depp was scheduled to star as French King Louis XV, "Louis the Beloved," in an upcoming film currently titled "Jeanne du Barry." The movie is set to begin filming in the summer of 2022 across different landmarks in France, including the Versailles Palace, and marks the comeback of Depp to the big screen.

On top of that, the star never lost his passion for music and has continued pursuing it as a hobby and part-time gig all throughout his career. He even celebrated his 59th birthday on June 9, 2022, by doing something he loved: performing music.

As The York Press reported, Depp joined his friend and fellow musician Jeff Beck for a performance in York, England. Hundreds of fans took the opportunity to see the star perform and wished him a very happy birthday. Depp took some more time to greet fans, sign autographs and receive well-wishes after the performance before his security finally hurried him along.

Although Depp has plenty of fans that love his music career, it’s clear that he will always be remembered for his iconic roles on the big screen, especially for his turn as Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Back in May 2022, a video of Depp interacting with his fans began capturing the hearts of people from all over the world. In the video, one fan said, “You’ll always be the Captain Jack Sparrow.” In true Depp fashion, he took on the character’s iconic voice when he responded to the fan. The actor appeared to be incredibly happy with the short interaction, and it was clear that he will certainly always be the world’s, Captain Jack Sparrow.
