John Travolta Admires Olivia Newton-John As She Fights Cancer

John Travolta is singing his previous co-star Olivia Newton-John praise as she is battling a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. The "Summer Lovin'" duo starred together in the 1978 box office smash "Grease" over 40 years ago. This is the third time Newton-John has been diagnosed with cancer.

However, she is choosing not to know how much time she may have left.

Newton-John, 70, is no stranger to cancer, as she's had breast cancer in the 1990s and shoulder cancer in 2013. In both cases, she managed to beat them. However, her recent diagnosis is much bleaker than the ones before.

“Everyday is a gift anyway, we don’t really know how long our life is and so every day is an extra bonus for me and I’m very grateful and I intend to be here for a long time, I have much to do still,” she told Entertainment Tonight in an interview.

John Travolta shared his admiration for Olivia with ET when he was on the red carpet promoting his new film "The Fanatic."

"She looks incredible," Travolta said. "She doesn't look any different than [she did] years ago, and I'm very proud of her." The star also added, "I'm very happy about Olivia,"

Last year the co-stars reunited for a 40th-anniversary screening of "Grease." At the event, Travolta and Newton-John both spoke to reporters at The Daily Mail. "The idea that they're honoring our movie and that it has meant so much to the history of film, you know nothing is quite like it that I think it's a pretty prestigious moment," Travolta said. Newton-John added, "And forty years later, who would've thought it?"
