John Stamos, however, has spoken out on the scandal involving Loughlin saying to GQ, “Whatever happened, I’m pretty sure that the punishment is not equal to the crime, if there was a crime.” Stamos who starred in “Full House” with Loughlin and now its subsequent reboot “Fuller House” has stayed relatively quiet on the matter since it first broke.
“I gotta be careful. I want to wait until the trial happens, if it does, or whatever the result is, and then talk about it,” he said to the magazine. “I’ll tell you one thing that has been strange: Honestly, I can’t figure it out. It doesn’t make sense. I talked to her the morning everything hit. I just can’t process it still.”
Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman is another high-profile name caught in the wake of the scandal. However, Huffman chose to plead ‘guilty’ to the charges laid against her. Her 'guilty' plea could now be exchanged for low jail time and no further charges being brought against her.
She had been found to have paid $15,000 to a charity that facilitated helping her daughter cheat on her SATs. The actress released a statement that said: "I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter... I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly."
