Directions

  1. Position your rack to the center of your oven and preheat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, salt, and baking soda together.
  4. In a mixer, beat the sugar and butter on medium-high until it is light and fluffy (around 2 to 3 minutes). Add in the eggs to the mix and beat again until blended. Add in the vanilla and mix it all together.
  5. After mixing, turn the mixer off and add the flour mixture into the bowl. Mix together on a medium setting until the flour is mixed in, and then turn the mixer to a high setting for a few seconds in order to pull the dough together. The mixture will be chunky.
  6. Add in the chocolate chips and beat the mixture on high speed for around 5 seconds to quickly and thoroughly mix in the chocolate chips.
  7. Line the mixture onto the baking sheet by dropping it in large spoonfuls. Don't flatten out the spoonfuls. Bake them until they are lightly browned on the tops (10 to 11 minutes). Place the pan on a rack to cool for 1 minute. And then transfer the cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely. Repeat this process with any remaining dough.
  8. For storing, keep your cookies at room temperature in a tightly covered container. They will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
