As the Coronavirus crisis continues to upend public events and gatherings of people, celebrities continue to get crafty with making sure they're able to bring entertainment to the world. Comedian Jimmy Fallon is no exception. After tapings of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon were temporarily stopped in light of COVID-19, the host created his own makeshift edition with the help of his family. The Tonight Show: At Home Edition (The First One) is a hilarious short episode that reminds us that sometimes laughter is the best medicine after all.

Starting off with a title card that was drawn by Jimmy's daughter Winnie, the comedian explains that since these uncertain times have forced his show to temporarily halt its studio tapings, he's decided to continue it from the safety of his home. His wife Nancy is behind the camera, while the family's dog Gary is the first guest. Jimmy then introduces his daughter Franny and asks if she wants to play drums, to which she replies "No!" He offers up that his other daughter Winnie has contributed by creating special graphics for the episode. Already the show is proving that it can be just as funny as the usual version.

Jimmy wishes his online audience a happy St. Patrick's Day, before showing a shamrock drawing that Winnie drew for the show, likening the end result to a green poo emoji. To further celebrate St. Patrick's Day, he shows some Irish food staples that include Guinness, soda bread and Irish butter.

Jimmy goes on to explain that besides keeping everybody entertained throughout these times, the show is planning to fundraise for a new charity every night that they air the show's At Home Edition. The first charity that was chosen is Feeding America, an organization that has over 200 food banks throughout the United States. At the time of writing, the show had managed to raise over $16,000 for the charity.

Launching into his usual opening monologue, Jimmy lands some jokes with the help of an audience laughter track, provided by his wife and camera operator, Nancy. He makes light of the situation, explaining that he's "Doing the show from my home for two reasons. First, to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Second, so I can write off my real-estate taxes." Celebrity guests are expected to also appear in future episodes via video apps like Zoom, so stay tuned.

He then ends the short episode with a song, before reminding viewers that it's all for charity and that they can donate via the video's YouTube page, which you can access here.

While the coronavirus crisis is changing our world on the daily, it's positive to see so many people and communities come together during this time.
