Jim Kelly has experienced many good times in his life as a Hall of Fame quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. However, recent times have been a little more of a challenge for Jim and wife Jill. In 2013, Jim learned he had cancer. The official diagnosis was squamous-cell carcinoma present in the upper jaw. At the time, Jim was terrified by what the future may hold for him.

Five years have passed since the original diagnosis and Jim is still fighting. Jill has been at his side every step of the way.

Jill commented in November on a picture of herself she posted on social media. The picture is of her holding her bible. She commented that the picture was taken shortly after she became a follower of Christ more than 20 years ago. She also said many things have happened in the past twenty years.

Jill explains that she and her family have endured some dark days over the past two decades. She says there were times when it was a struggle to even leave her bed each morning. She admits there were times she doubted her own faith.

She also recalls the many days of grace and favor given to her. She is joyful for the days God revealed more of himself to her. Jim was scheduled for another surgery on November 28. Jill posted a picture of her husband giving the thumbs up sign he is famous for moments before entering the operating room.

Jill was happy to relay the news to followers and supporters that this should be the last surgery Jim is to endure. She also thanked supporters for the encouragement and prayers they provided throughout her family's ordeal.

The surgery went well and the couple is hopeful it will truly be the last. Followers of Jill's social media account are amazed at her courage and faith. She offered many times to pray for others while she and her family were in need of prayer.

Immediately after the surgery, Jill provided supporters with an update. "Another thumbs up," was the message. She also said that all went well with the surgery.
