Jessica Simpson 'Could See The Emergency Helicopters' Posts Photo Taken Immediately After Kobe Bryant Crash

Singer Jessica Simpson was in the area when Kobe Bryant's helicopter crashed in the Calabasas hills on January 26, 2020. The crash took the lives of everyone on board including the basketball player, 41, and his young daughter Gianna, 13.

Simpson posted a photo along with a touching tribute the day after the tragic event.

The photo showed clouds breaking in the sky with a beam of sunshine bursting through. Simpson captioned the photo mentioning that it was taken by her husband Eric right after the crash. Simpson and her family live in Hidden Hills, according to Architectural Digest, which is in the neighboring town of Calabasas. She wrote that she could see the emergency helicopters assisting in the crash.

In a heartfelt message, she said that the "beautiful souls" aboard the helicopter would be "lifted up to be with God for eternity."

"I felt the power in the sky of the heavens parting to make room for the greatest of angels to rise," she continued.  "My heart is completely broken for all the families and loved ones left behind trying to make sense of things in this tragic moment.

As a mother and a wife, Simpson clearly felt an emotional connection to how Kobe's family must have been feeling. She conveyed her condolences by saying,

"Vanessa, you are the woman and wife that championed your husband to greatness. My prayers are constant for everyone affected by this impactful loss. 💚"
