Jeremy Renner Takes Daughter To Help Homeless Amid Ongoing Custody Dispute

Renner is a popular actor best known for his roles in the Mission Impossible and Avengers franchises. He’s in a heated battle with his ex-wife for sole custody rights of their daughter, named Ava. Jeremy and six-year-old Ava spent much of Thanksgiving day in Reno, Nevada serving the homeless community.

According to TMZ, the actor has a home in nearby Lake Tahoe. He heard about The Hope Bus helping out those in need and decided he and Ava would lend a hand serving food and handing out blankets. In all, he and Ava spent about three hours there and served over 100 meals. Renner even donated two loads of blankets for the event. Everyone was naturally excited to see a Hollywood celebrity, and word has it that Renner was more than generous with his time and attention. He even gave out some hugs.

Yet, these good deeds come just as a very nasty custody battle between Renner and ex-wife Sonni Pacheco is at a climax. Allegations of all sorts are flying from both sides, and they’re nothing short of ugly. Sonni, for example, is making allegations that Renner is a loose cannon with substance abuse problems.

She even claims that he threatened both her life and his own life. Renner denies the allegations and says that it’s actually Sonni with the substance abuse problem.

The mud-slinging naturally makes onlookers wonder if Renner’s recent holiday generosity was in good faith or nearly a photo-op effort to shed a more positive light on himself as a parent. Meanwhile, Sonni has been trying to boost her own position, too. She and Ava made a very publicized visit to a pumpkin patch earlier this month. Whatever the case, we are sure Renner and daughter brought much happiness to a lot of homeless, hungry folks in Reno on Thanksgiving Day.
