Furthermore, the Jeopardy! 's producers had to conduct this season's casting virtually due to the current pandemic. Therefore they introduced the Anytime Test that lets potential contestants take the Jeopardy!-test wherever and whenever they want.

The show itself will be recorded without a live audience to prevent spreading the virus amongst people who would have shown up for the taping, as Washington Post reports.

After his diagnosis last year, Jeopardy!'s beloved host, Alex Trebek, is still battling pancreatic cancer. Still, he is more than excited to return as the show's host as it gives him something to do:

"On a personal level, I'm excited because it gets me out of the house. It gives me something to do on a regular basis, and I was missing that," Trebek revealed in the show's press release

Ken Jennings is also looking forward to his new role as the show's consulting producer because that way, he can still be part of his favorite show:

“Though I’ve played my last round of JEOPARDY! as a contestant, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to remain involved with my favorite show,” Jennings explained the show's press release. “I'm still in on all the action, but I don’t have to worry about phrasing things in the form of a question anymore.”
