Jennifer Lopez Sheds Tears Alongside Alex Rodriguez During Kobe and Gigi Bryant's Celebration Of Life Memorial

During the Celebration of Life memorial for Kobe and Gianna Bryant on Monday, Jennifer Lopez wept several times. Sitting with her fiancé Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, Lopez was brought to tears in the Los Angeles Staples Center while mourning the victim of the January 26th helicopter crash tragedy. 

Thousands of fans, friends, and family packed the Staples Center on Monday for the Celebration of Life memorial for Kobe and Gianna Bryant. Among the 20,000 that filled the arena was Jennifer Lopez alongside her fiancé Alex Rodriguez. 

The 50-year-old actress and singer cried in the crowd during the memoriam video and again when Kobe's wife Vanessa delivered her eulogy.

Before the public service, Lopez took to her Instagram account to share a photo of her nails that were manicured with the numbers two and twenty-four in honor of Kobe and Gianna's respective basketball numbers.

The event gathered fans from across the country to Los Angeles, California to honor Kobe, Gianna, and the other seven victims that died in a helicopter crash on January 26th. 

After Kobe's death, Jennifer Lopez shared one of her own memories on her Instagram account and said in the caption:

"As I scrolled through Kobe's feed, and Alex and I talk memories and moments we remember about him...this is the truth that rings out the loudest...family is what matters most."

At the memorial, Vanessa Bryant stood in front of the enormous crowd and gave a heartfelt eulogy that started with Gianna and ended with her marriage with Kobe. Through tears she said:

"God knew they couldn't be on this earth without each other. He had to bring them home to heaven together."

Lopez choked up for the second time during Vanessa's speech and was seen with tears streaming down her face.

Kanye West, Kim and Khloe Kardashian along with Kris Jenner were seen among the crowd as members of the many celebrities that came to the public memorial. 

Singer Beyoncé opened the memorial with a performance of "XO," which she said was Kobe's favorite song along with her other hit, "Halo." A crying Vanessa Bryant gave the performance a standing ovation.

Michael Jordan gave a speech and got emotional while he remembered Kobe and Gianna and their relationship to basketball.

The event was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and featured performances from multiple stars including Alicia Keys.

Christina Aguilera closed out the memorial with a performance of "Ave Maria" in Italian.

Rapper Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante Broadus were also among the stars who did not perform, but rather attended the memorial as a part of the crowd.

On the very same day as the public service, Vanessa Bryant filed a 'wrongful death' lawsuit against the Island Express Helicopter company and the legal representative of the late pilot Ara Zobayan for negligence in the January 26th fatal crash.

The Staples Center was sold out and the profits from the ticket sales will go to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation to support youth sports programs in under-served communities.

Many celebrities got emotional like J.Lo during the public service while mourning the late basketball star Kobe and his would-have-been star daughter, Gianna.
