Jennifer Lopez, 54, Faces Mixed Reactions Over Playful Video Of Her Dancing On A Bed

Jennifer Lopez is one of the most recognizable faces in entertainment right now. And what a face it is. The actress, singer and dancer has often been praised for how good she looks for her age, but don’t try that backhanded compliment with her. She’s not likely to take it sitting down.

Now in her 50s, Lopez is arguably one of the most influential Latin performers in the world. Lopez’s versatile career in the entertainment industry is as iconic as her timeless beauty. The actress, singer and dancer has always attracted attention thanks to her sophisticated, young-looking appearance. Lopez has starred in a number of fabulous movies like “Maid in Manhattan” and “Marry Me” and also has several well-known songs like “All I Have” and “I’m Real,” to mention but a few.

Even though JLo could sometimes come across as someone who is serious based on her previous acting roles, she’s not afraid to share her playful side with the world, as seen on her social media activity.

Jennifer Lopez might have a lot of people to bond with in the Hollywood industry, but her go-to is her best friend, Loren Ridinger. They love sharing videos and photos of one another on social media every time they’re given a chance.

Ridinger gave fans insight into her friendship with the singer in a blog post shared on her official website, where she described her as one of her “nearest and dearest” and considered her as her sister.

“JLo is always a force of positivity, constantly smiling and always striving to be an even better version of herself. She’s the most amazing mom, with a work ethic that never stops – and I am thankful every day to have her friendship and her influence in my life,” she wrote.

In November 2023, the pair showed off their goofy and playful side in a video shared on their official Instagram profiles to celebrate Ridinger’s 55th birthday.

In the clip, the two could be seen wearing matching green pajamas and big sunglasses, and both of them were jumping and dancing up and down the bed. The only difference in their look is their hairstyles; Ridinger opted to let her hair flow down, while Lopez wore a low bun.

“Me and my girl @jlo just celebrating each other - birthday vibes. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it. lol. 💚💚💚💚💚 jennifer is clearly the dancer in the family lol. :)” she wrote in the caption for her more than 700,000 followers to see.

The video was filled with positive comments as there were people who were happy to see the pair bond with each other and enjoy their lives to celebrate the special occasion.

“I can imagine lots of giggles had, that’s what life’s about ladies xx,” one commented, while another one wrote, “This just made me so happy, I had to watch it over and over.”

“This is SO GOOD! I can only imagine the fun they had making this. And they both are rocking those gorgeous jammies!” one wrote.

“Yall are like two teenagers! 😍 Happy Birthday!!!!!” one commented. 

Despite the positive comments, there were some people who disagreed with their video as they shared their thoughts in the comment section of the Daily Mail.

“She is the epitome of ridiculousness,” one commented, while another one wrote, “She forgot she’s 54, thinks she’s 14.”

“there is something mentally wrong with this attention seeking h** - no wonder her husband drinks and looks miserable around her! she’s so gross....” one wrote.

“no matter how hard she tries , she’s not generating much interest,” one expressed.

If fans could compare Lopez’s friendship with Ridinger’s, it would be with her mom Lupe Rodríguez.

The mother-and-daughter duo gave an insight into their close bond in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in October 2020.

“My mom is really the person who instilled the love of music in me and all my sisters,” the actress said. 

In addition, Lopez noted that her energy and drive all came from her mom, who had her when she was just 20 years old.
