Jennifer Garner Gushes Over Sweet Interaction With Her Childhood Crush Donny Osmond

Jennifer Garner has been a notable actress for several years, finding her claim to fame during the early 2000s. She was born on Apr. 17, 1972, in Houston, Texas, and grew up in West Virginia. After studying theater at Denison University, she began acting as an understudy at a theater company in New York City.

Getting her on-screen debut in 1995, Garner starred in “Zoya.” Garner found her first wave of success from the ABC television series “Alias,” which aired from 2001 until 2006. Not only was she a household name thanks to the hit television show, but she also starred in a number of successful films during that time as well, such as “Pearl Harbor,” Catch Me If You Can” and “13 Going on 30.”

While Garner has certainly made her mark on the entertainment world due to her acting abilities, it’s her charisma and beautiful personality that has continued to make her one of the most beloved actresses in the world.

Throughout her time in the spotlight, Garner has shown just how beautiful she is both with her outward appearance and with her actions. She is a mother of three to son Samuel Garner Affleck and daughters Violet Anne Affleck and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, whose father is Ben Affleck.

Garner has also become well known for her charitable work, turning every opportunity into some way to give back. Back in April 2022, the star turned 50 and repurposed her splashed-out celebration as a chance to do some good. On top of that, she received quite a heartwarming surprise from fellow star Donny Osmond.

Garner is no stranger to mixing the personal with the charitable. In 2017, the star announced that she bought a piece of property that meant a good deal to her family. Her grandfather originally bought the piece of land in Oklahoma back in 1936, where Garner’s mother would eventually grow up. Decades later, the actress has turned the farm into one of her most successful projects. The land gave rise to Garner’s Once Upon A Farm project, where Garner created a haven of green.

Garner seems to draw a lot of her inspiration from her own mother and the time she spent on the farm. In an interview with Town & Country, Garner explained, “My mom grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. Her mom was brilliant at canning, at making something stretch, at finding a way to make it work.”

Garner clearly hasn’t forgotten those humble lessons even as she’s become a successful actress and a household name. So for her 50th birthday, instead of merely splashing out on an over-the-top party, the actress used the day to do a little good.

Before boogying down to the Osborne Brothers’ “Rocky Top,” Garner had family and friends fill “5,000 backpacks each with enough food to feed a family of four for a program called Blessings in a Backpack.”

However, the celebration wasn’t all work. The actress also admitted to letting what was initially perhaps a simpler family gathering snowball into a blowout. Recalling the event, she said, “I basically had a wedding for myself … I was so shocked that I was doing it.”

Also, for the milestone day, Garner was surprised by none other than her childhood celebrity crush, Donny Osmond. She posted about the ordeal on her Instagram page, sharing a heartwarming video with her fans.

While sitting in a restaurant, the “13 Going On 30” actress grew emotional watching a video greeting from the “Donny & Marie” star. She was even more shocked to turn around and see Osmond standing behind her with a cake. The birthday cake read “13 Going On 50! Love Donny!”

Garner happily stood up to greet him and was so overwhelmed that she even had to take her sweater off! She then sat with Osmond as the two sang one of his hits, “Make the World Go Away.”

Garner wrote in the post’s caption:

“My first (pre)birthday surprise was a doozy — the one and only, legend in his own time, object of my childhood adoration and devotion — @donnyosmond showed up to knock my purple socks off. He took an hour and a half of his day to sit with me, sing my favorites, and to give me a master class on how to be a class act. Thank you, Donny. 💜 Hi, @marieosmond. ☺️ I hope to meet you someday, Debbie. ♥️

Osmond was equally as excited and penned an Instagram post to Garner:

"Surprising fans is one of my favorite things to do, so when I had the opportunity to surprise the lovely @jennifer.garner for her 50th birthday, I was overjoyed. Thanks for letting me celebrate with you!”

We’re sure Garner will never forget this milestone occasion.
