Actress Jennifer Garner was born in April 1972 in Houston, Texas and grew up in West Virginia. After studying theater at Denison University, she began acting as an understudy at the Roundabout Theater Company in New York City. Getting her onscreen debut in 1995, Garner starred in “Zoya” that year. Garner found her first wave of success from the ABC television series “Alias,” which aired from 2001 until 2006. During this time, she also began to make a real name for herself in the industry by starring in a variety of highly successful films, including “13 Going On 30,” “Daredevil” and “Elektra.” She formed a friendship with Ben Affleck during their time together while filming “Pearl Harbor” in 2001 and “Daredevil” in 2003, and they began their romantic relationship shortly after.

Garner has three children — son Samuel Garner Affleck, and daughters Violet Anne Affleck and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck — with the prominent actor and director Affleck, whom she was married to from 2005 to 2018. Although the pair announced their intention to split in 2015, just three years after Samuel was born, the two movie stars are often pictured together with their kids, making it seem like family is important to both. While Garner is reportedly single, she focuses on her kids, career, and new work endeavors.

Part and parcel of her work as an A-list movie star is promoting the films she is involved in by giving interviews and attending premieres. While Garner has shown just how much of a down-to-Earth type of gal she is in real life, premieres offer her a chance to get made up and play a glamorous beauty queen for a night. When she does, she really knows how to work it! But that’s because her beauty regimen prepares her to look her best.

According to Woman’s Health, Garner works with professional trainer Simone De La Rue to stay in shape.

"We'll do something that's traditional strength training, and the next minute we’ll be dancing to build agility and core strength," De La Rue told Woman’s Health. "I really mix it up, and we're never doing one thing. She does everything, which is incredible!"

Some typical exercises for Garner include ab exercises, planks, pushups and lifting, which is enough to make anyone exhausted — not to mention a 50-year-old mother of three!

Garner's straightforward approach to dealing with her body also extends into her beauty regimen. The “Miracles From Heaven” actress is absolutely stunning and is known for being extremely down-to-earth and personable. She is also pretty "low-key" with her beauty routine and is involved with the haircare brand called Virtue, which she joined back in 2019, according to Today.

When it comes to wearing makeup, Garner has a “less-is-more” approach. “I want to look normal and I want to normalize looking normal,” she said. “I always have felt really strongly about that. And then if I'm dressed up, I like that my kids are like, ‘Woo, look at my mom!’”

Garner also shared some of her go-to beauty products with Shape and revealed her formula comprises sunscreen, hyaluronic acid, retinol and consistency. While she loved the effects of retinol, she said she doesn’t go overboard with it. “I’m not an every-night-retinol person. It’s too strong for me and I’ll turn bright red, but I love the effects of it.”

The results of Garner’s hard work she puts into herself are clear for everyone to see when she walks the red carpet. A prime example of this is when she stepped out in March 2022 for the premiere of her film “The Adam Project.”

At the premiere of the movie — in which Garner plays the role of mom to a young boy who discovers a future version of himself (played by Ryan Reynolds) who's crash-landed on Earth — the actress looked stunning in an all-black ensemble that harkens back to classic old Hollywood. She donned an Alexandre Vauthier high-collared halter gown that perfectly played up her assets, including her toned arms, and had a center slit in the skirt. In line with Garner’s classic style, she paired the dress with simple accessories, such as drop earrings, a diamond bracelet and a ring.

But perhaps the best accessories, according to Garner, that night were her costars. She expressed just how much she appreciated her friends in an Instagram post: “Celebrating ‘The Adam Project’ is a pinch me moment — I love every frame of this movie and every one of these people. Honestly, I can’t wait for you to see it.”

The movie also had an added attraction for her fans — it reunited her with her “13 Going On 30” costar Mark Ruffalo. This was not lost on fans of the classic rom-com, who took to the comment to show their appreciation for the coming together of their favorite movie pair. “Matty and Jenna forever!!!😍#13goingon30” wrote one follower, while another wrote, “I thought this was 13 Going On 30 the Sequel 😍😍😍”

Even Garner herself is a fan of her pairing with Ruffalo, as she posted another photo of the two of them together with the caption, “Are you sick of us yet? 🤣” This incited a string of responses from other celebrities, including her “The Adam Project” costar Zoe Saldaña, who wrote, “Never!!! 🙌” while Hugh Jackman wrote, “You TWO specifically? Never!”
