Jennifer Aniston is an American actress who rose to international fame for her role as Rachel Green in the hit series “Friends.” Born to two actors, John and Nancy, she came to acting early in life. While attending a Waldorf school, Aniston fell in love with acting at age 11.

She later enrolled at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan. After high school, Aniston worked part-time jobs like waitressing and telemarketing to support herself while she performed in off-Broadway productions. She later moved to Los Angeles, California, where she soon hit fame.

Before too long, Aniston landed her most famous role on the hit television series “Friends,” which aired from 1994 to 2004. She won a Primetime Emmy Award for her iconic role, as well as a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. Her character was extremely popular and is considered one of the most memorable female roles in television history.

Aniston has also starred in a number of films and is one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses. Films that star Aniston in a leading role have grossed over $1.6 billion worldwide, while 12 of those films earned over $100 million. Her most popular film roles were in “Bruce Almighty,” “The Break-Up,” “Horrible Bosses” and “We’re the Millers.” Aniston has also starred in the Apple TV series “The Morning Show.”

As a celebrity, Aniston is often the target of media speculation concerning her romantic relationships and other areas of her personal life. Aniston herself has in the past slammed the press for its unwelcome scrutiny about whether or not she is pregnant. However, what they might not know is that Aniston is already a dog mom to some beautiful fur babies who she loves to show off on social media.

Aniston has been a dog mom for years. Her first canine baby was Norman, a Welsh corgi-terrier mix she acquired during her early years on “Friends.” Norman was her sole furry companion until another dog, Dolly, entered her life and became her constant companion. She even took Norman with her when she appeared on her friend Chelsea Handler’s former late-night show, “Chelsea Lately.” Sadly, Norman passed away in 2011 at the age of 15 after a fulfilling and love-filled life.

Dolly was a white German Shepard Aniston rescued in 2005. For many years, Dolly lived with Aniston alongside another dog of hers named Clyde, also a rescue pup. Clyde is a gray Schnauzer mix who, being a small dog, is the one usually accompanying her on sets and work events.

Dolly and Clyde were exactly the kind of companions Aniston needed just after her divorce from Brad Pitt. They settled into their lush, forever home and kept Aniston company as she went through hard times. They were also by her side when she married actor Justin Theroux in 2015, and they soon settled into life with their new dog dad.

However, tragedy struck two years after Aniston and Theroux split in 2017. After 14 lovely years with Aniston, Dolly passed away. Despite being divorced, Theroux joined Aniston in honoring Dolly with a spiritual funeral, and posted photos of them burning sage over Dolly. His caption read: “Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle... our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. 🐺💔 She was surrounded by her entire family. ‘The one that never deserts, the one that never proves ungrateful... is the dog — faithful and true, even in death.’”

Today, Aniston lives with Clyde, who was later joined by two more rescues – pit bull mix Sophie and Aniston’s newest dog, Lord Chesterfield. Aniston adopted Lord Chesterfield in October 2020 and posted a clip of the little pup snoozing in her home.

“Hi! I’d like to introduce to you the newest member of our 🐾 family….this is (a very tired) Lord Chesterfield ❤️. He stole my heart immediately. A HUGE thank you to @wagmorpets for the incredible work you do. Grateful you take such great care of these rescues and find them their forever homes🙏🏼,” Aniston wrote in the caption.

She later posted a sweet update on Lord Chesterfield. “One year with my lovable, squeezable, talkative (barks at air), cuddly, and not-so-little-anymore Lord Chesterfield 🥳❤️🐾” Aniston wrote.

All three dogs feature in Aniston’s Instagram feed frequently, proving that you don’t need pure and fancy breeds to make a happy home. Just because all her fur babies are rescues doesn’t mean she can’t adore them just as much as if they were. In September 2021, Aniston posted an adorable clip of the three of the dogs, which showed Lord Chesterfield appearing to communicate some loving words to his dog mom. Another collage of clips showed the same two dogs accompanying Aniston during her photoshoot for Allure’s December 2022 cover story.

“They are real friends,” she once said of her dogs. “I have some great human friends, of course, but my dog friends are very special. OK, so they don’t text me or buy me flowers, but they do so much more. They pick me up if I need it, they always greet me when I come home and they never complain about anything. I wish I was like that.”
