After rising to fame as Rachel Green on the hit television sitcom “Friends,” Jennifer Aniston has been one of the most loved actresses to grace the world of entertainment. The role earned Aniston a handful of awards, and it’s clear that her career has only taken off since her breakthrough.

Over the years, Aniston has continued to star in a number of television shows as well as a handful of successful films. Some of her most notable works include “Marley & Me,” “Just Go With It,” “Horrible Bosses” and “The Morning Show.” On top of being an award-winning actress, Aniston is also a highly respected producer.

Born on Feb. 11, 1969, Aniston was raised in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, and grew up with a love for acting. The aspiring star put in plenty of hard work and dedication into pursuing her passion, and ultimately made it her full-time career – and a highly successful one at that.

She famously went on to marry and divorce actor Brad Pitt in the early 2000s. Aniston later went on to marry Justin Theroux in 2015, whom she had previously purchased a house with. However, the pair separated in 2017.

Aniston is a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart, and also lives in an incredibly gorgeous mansion to fully match her ethereal vibe and aesthetic. Despite the amount of media attention Aniston has received over the years, she has done her best to keep her personal life private throughout the course of her career. It’s clear that her home is her safe place, so it makes sense that she would want to make it as peaceful as possible. According to Architectural Digest, Aniston has famously owned six houses during her time as a celebrity, each one having a piece of her craft and design shown. “If I wasn’t an actress, I’d want to be a designer,” Aniston previously told Architectural Digest in 2018.

Aniston and her ex-husband Pitt purchased a $13.1 million Beverly Hills home in 2001, which was originally built in 1934. The couple spent three years renovating the home, making it as perfect as possible, before selling it for $28 million in 2006 after their divorce. Architectural Digest reported that Aniston rented a Malibu beach house for two years following her split from Pitt, which belonged to Larry Ellison

It wasn’t long before she found a new mansion to move into, and in 2006, she paid $13.5 million for her hillside residence in Beverly Hills. She referred to the home as “Ohana,” and lived there for five years. After Aniston began dating Theroux in 2011, it wasn’t long before they moved into a home together. At first they rented a home in Beverly Hills before purchasing two condos in New York with the intention of combining them and eventually moving there. However, plans on the east coast fell through, but Aniston didn’t stay down for long.

Creating A Peaceful Estate

The actress purchased her current Bel Air mansion for just under $21 million in 2011, according to Architectural Digest. The home was previously designed by architect A. Quincy Jones, and was absolutely breathtaking, but it needed Aniston’s personal touch. She enlisted the help of interior designer Stephen Shadley, whom she had worked with on another home in the past. With Shadley’s help, Aniston and Theroux were able to bring both of their aesthetics to life in a collaborative effort to create the home of their dreams.

“Jen is drawn to wood, stone and bronze, materials that have real substance and depth,” Shadley said. “No matter how beautiful or glamorous something is, it has to be warm and inviting.” Aniston described the eclectic decor as “Old World meets New World.”

Some of the interior includes hand-painted wallpaper, mid-century furniture, silk rugs, antique Japanese screens and abstract expressionist paintings. Garden designers and landscape architects also helped the outer appearance of the Bel Air estate meet Aniston’s taste by renovating the space to include a series of interconnected outdoor rooms, terraces and pocket gardens. According to Hello! Magazine, the home also has an outdoor swimming pool, a bar inside the living room and incredibly breathtaking views.

Somehow, the arrangement and mix of styles works well, and gives Aniston a feeling of “zen,” according to Architectural Digest. It was also the tranquil location where she married Theroux back in 2015. Even though the couple separated in 2017, Aniston currently still owns and lives in the 8,500-square-foot residence.
