Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram on October 15, making her debut with a low-resolution photo of herself accompanied by her former ‘Friends’ co-stars.

The 50-year-old garnered 8 million followers in just 24 hours.

This week, Jennifer Aniston made her Instagram debut with a photo depicting herself along with ‘Friends’ co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

The photo, which has since collected over 9 million likes, has sent fans across the globe into a frenzy.

As the post quickly garnered international attention, Instagram gradually became “overwhelmed” with the sudden overload of traffic it was experiencing.

According to the Daily Mail, so many fans attempted to follow Aniston’s profile in a short window of time that the social media app started showing error messages to users attempting to follow the actress.

The publication stated that a distressed fan had commented on the photo, “Why can't I follow her tho??!!”, to which Aniston jokingly replied, “Sorry, I think I broke it.”

Although the photo has fans excited that the gang might just be giving the world the ‘Friends’ reboot they’ve all been waiting for, the actress told Variety it was not likely.

“Our producers wouldn’t want it,” she said.  “[They] wouldn’t let us. Look, it’s not been without our desire to, because our fans have wanted it so much.”
