Jason Statham And Rosie Huntington-Whitely Are ‘Looking Forward’ To Marriage But It’s About Real Connection For Them

When it comes to having a traditional relationship, most people may think you would date, get engaged, get married, then have children. Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are definitely not the couple that is an example of this. Instead, the pair have found love and are navigating life together on their own terms rather than following the societal norm.

Statham is an actor best known for portraying characters in action movies and thrillers. He found early success starring as Frank Martin in the “Transporter” trilogy before going on to appear in action-thriller films like “The Mechanic,” “Spy” and “The Bank Job.” The leading man found even greater success with the “Fast & Furious” franchise portraying the character of Deckard Shaw.

His longtime partner Huntington-Whiteley is also a very successful actress. While the star first started off working as a model – most famously for Victoria’s Secret – Huntington-Whiteley also garnered more attention for her acting roles in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” and “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

While Hollywood romances can be fleeting, Statham and Huntington-Whiteley’s love has lasted the test of time – and they aren’t even married yet! The pair have been together since 2010 and got engaged in 2016. They have since welcomed two children. On top of that, Statham and Huntington-Whiteley have a 20-year age gap between them, as the former is 55 years old while the latter is 35 years old.

While most people would wonder why this couple hasn’t gotten married yet, Statham and Huntington-Whiteley have placed the importance of their relationship on having a true connection with each other.

Over the years, Statham and Huntington-Whiteley have each found their own version of success in their respective careers. The latter first began modeling when she was just a teenager before getting her big break in 2004 with a shoot for Teen Vogue. Huntington-Whiteley astonishingly made her catwalk debut alongside supermodel Naomi Campbell that same year. And in 2006, she was signed to Victoria’s Secret.

The model then took on acting roles, with one of her most famous being her replacement of Megan Fox in the third installment of the “Transformers” franchise, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” However, she received some harsh criticism from movie-goers and critics. Nonetheless, Huntington-Whiteley persevered with her new career and landed a role in the 2015 film “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

On the other hand, Statham has been a notable actor for quite some time. Speaking with Esquire in 2015, he admitted that he may have taken on too many jobs and sometimes didn’t like the end product, but he has still enjoyed his career. “When it comes to movies, I’m always trying to find the Ferrari,” the “Fast & Furious” star said. “When you go to work with Scorsese or Chris Nolan or someone of that caliber, then I don’t think you have to worry about what car you’re gonna be racing in.”

It seems that Statham also doesn’t have to worry about his love life as he and Huntington-Whiteley have been together for over a decade. They first began dating in 2010, and Us Weekly confirmed their engagement in January 2016. Statham proposed to his model-turned-actress girlfriend with a 5-carat ring designed by Neil Lane. The ring – consisting of a round diamond set in platinum – cost an astonishing $350,000!

The former Victoria’s Secret model debuted her ring at the Golden Globe Awards that same month as she posed alongside Statham. Love was in the air as the couple looked incredibly happy together! Previously, Huntington Whiteley spoke about the reasons she truly loved Statham. “We’re best mates,” she said. “He makes me laugh every day.”

The happy couple hasn’t walked down the aisle yet, but they have already started growing their beautiful family. Statham and Huntington-Whiteley welcomed their son, Jack Oscar Statham, on June 24, 2017. 

Back in 2018, the mom spoke with Extra TV about when she would potentially say “I do” to her longtime beau. She said:

“I think the time will come. We’ve been so focused on our work for so long, and Jack came along. We definitely talk about it, we’re looking forward to that time, it’s also not a huge priority for us, we’re so happy.”

Huntington-Whiteley added, “I think it will be fun to do it when the baby’s grown up a bit and he can be involved in the wedding.” However, it appears that these plans may have changed a bit, as the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Isabella James Statham, on Feb. 2, 2022.

Still, Huntington-Whiteley has continued to gush about how wonderful of a father Statham is to their kids. “He is very happy to get up at 5 in the morning and do daddy duty and let me sleep an extra hour… he’s very hands-on, he’s a brilliant dad, I am very lucky, he’s a great partner,” the actress said.

Even though this couple hasn’t tied the knot yet, it’s clear that they have a great deal of love for each other. We can’t wait to see what their future looks like!
