Jason Momoa Takes Wild Pig Home From Set And Wants To ‘Paint’ Its Nails Pink

Jason Momoa is an actor and filmmaker who has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since the late 1990s. He made his acting debut in the action-drama series “Baywatch: Hawaii” in 1999 and stayed on the show until 2001. A few years later, Momoa went on to star in the science fiction series “Stargate: Atlantis.” He found even more fame when he was cast as Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of “Game of Thrones” — a show that helped catapult the careers of many of its stars.

Today, the Honolulu native of Hawaiian and Samoan descent is best known for his role as Aquaman in the DC extended universe. A sequel to the first solo Aquaman film, “Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom,” is slated for release in 2023. He has already portrayed the hero in a couple of movies and is set to star in more in the upcoming years. Momoa also reached an even higher level of success thanks to the film “Dune.” He will also star in the 10th installment of the “Fast & Furious” series called “Fast X,” starring alongside Vin Diesel. 

While most fans adore Momoa for his great acting chops, they have also come to love the star for his broad and handsome looks. The actor has a very fit physique and has donned long hair for quite some time now. But in early September 2022, Momoa showed off a fresh buzz cut, revealing that his long hair was no more. 

In true Momoa fashion, the actor surprised fans once again in November 2022 when he took home a wild pig and expressed how he wanted to paint its nails. Who knew Momoa was such a fan of makeovers?

Momoa was born on Aug. 1, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is an only child and was born to creative parents. However, when he was still a baby, Momoa moved to Iowa with his mother and lived there until he graduated from high school. He then returned to Hawaii to attend the University of Hawaii for college.

While it seemed like Momoa was set to lead a relatively simple life on the island, he had a turn of events during his late teens and embarked on a new career path. When he was 19 years old, Momoa decided to audition for the TV series “Baywatch: Hawaii.” He clearly made a mark with the casting agents as he landed the role of Jason Ioane and went on to star on the show from 1999 to 2001.

Afterward, Momoa found more work in the entertainment industry. He made a few appearances in “Stargate: Atlantis” as well as “Johnson Family Vacation” in the early 2000s. The rising star also landed a role in the comedy-drama TV series “The Game.”

However, Momoa’s work in the 2010s and 2020s is what has made him the star he is today. Starting off the 2010s strong, Momoa landed the titular role in the 2011 film “Conan the Barbarian.” It wasn’t long before he landed a role on “Game of Thrones” before going on to land the leading titular role in “Aquaman.” He also played the character in other DC movies.

While Momoa had rocked shorter hair when he first started out in Hollywood, the leading man had quickly become loved for his long tresses. Fans swooned over how incredible his hair was, which is why so many people were surprised when the actor chopped it all off in September 2022.

However, he did so for a good cause. Momoa founded Pride of Gypsies in 2010, which, according to its official website, consists of a tribe of artists and filmmakers that have an “enthusiast thirst for creating unique and inventive content” and “harnessing an atypical approach to production.”

So on Sept. 5, 2022, the Pride of Gypsies Instagram page uploaded a video of Momoa having his hair shaved off. Momoa did all of this to help raise awareness about single-use plastics. He encouraged people to instead use aluminum bottles or canteens, or really anything other than plastic bottles. He even showed off a Mananalu aluminum bottle from the company he started.

And in November 2022, Momoa surprised fans again with yet another makeover idea — but this time, it wasn’t on himself. On the Pride of Gypsies Instagram page, Momoa posted a video of himself holding a wild pig and talking about all of the changes he wanted to make to its appearance. He captioned the post, “@marlowbarkley look what i found. hopefully u meet him mr MANAPUA slumberland premiere coming soon. nov 18 on @netflix aloha j.”

In the video, Momoa asked the pig: “You want to come to the ‘Slumberland’ premiere? We can paint your nails pink and put a little top hat on you.”

In the background, Momoa’s mom was heard telling him that it would be “a little over the top” since Momoa had just gotten him, to which Momoa replied, “Well, mom, I’m kind of over the top.”

In another video, Momoa shared, “This is why I can’t work with animals I want to bring them home.”

Needless to say, it looks like the actor will be taking good care of his new friend in the foreseeable future!
