Jason Momoa is an actor and filmmaker who has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since the late 1990s. He made his acting debut in the action-drama series “Baywatch: Hawaii” in 1999 and stayed on the show until 2001. A few years later, Momoa went on to star in the science fiction series “Stargate: Atlantis.” He found even more fame when he was cast as Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of “Game of Thrones” — a show that helped catapult the careers of many of its stars.

Today, the Honolulu native of Hawaiian and Samoan descent is best known for his role as Aquaman in the DC extended universe. A sequel to the first solo Aquaman film, “Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom,” is slated for release in 2023. He has already portrayed the hero in a couple of movies and is set to star in more in the upcoming years. Momoa also reached an even higher level of success thanks to the film “Dune.” He will also star in the 10th installment of the “Fast & Furious” series called “Fast X,” starring alongside Vin Diesel

While most fans adore Momoa for his great acting chops, they have also come to love the star for his broad and handsome looks. The actor has a very fit physique and has donned long hair for quite some time now. But in early September 2022, Momoa showed off a fresh buzz cut, revealing that his long hair was no more.

Still, Momoa’s fans have continued to gush over the actor’s looks and have even gone out of their way to call out haters who said he had a “dad bod.”

There’s no denying that Momoa has a great physique – something that his fans have gushed over for many years. So when the actor appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in November 2022, fans were more than ecstatic to learn – and see – even more about Momoa.

He talked about the tattoo he got, which he revealed he did for his family. “It represents protection for my family,” he said. “I got it the traditional way… For my family. And yes, it’s extremely painful. But yeah, I definitely met my ancestors.

Momoa said it took more than two hours to finish the tattooing process but said it felt like he went through it for 24 hours.

In the middle of the interview, Jimmy Kimmel showed a photo of Momoa deep-sea fishing with his butt half-exposed. Momoa then explained that he wore it to prepare himself for his role in an upcoming Apple TV+ historical-drama show called ”Chief of Wars.”

“That’s a traditional Malo. It’s what the Hawaiians wear. I’m doing a show. I’m the creator, I’m the writer, the director, and the producer of this Apple series called ‘Chief of War’ and it’s all 1780s 1790s Hawaii. “That’s what I wear every day. And I was just getting ready for the role ‘cause I like to get into character. So, I was tanning my white a**,” he said.

Momoa went on to share that he’s liked wearing the Hawaiin malo on everyday occasions so far. “Oh my God yes. I actually don’t even like wearing clothes anymore. I mean every day. I wear it all the time,” he said.

Momoa was wearing a sleeping outfit topped with a coat he wore in his Netflix movie called “Slumberland.” When asked during the show if he was wearing it, Momoa immediately said yes before stripping down in front of Kimmel and the live audience watching the show inside the studio.

Kimmel, seemingly caught by surprise, said, “I’ve never felt more like Danny DeVito than I do right now.”

The audience surely appreciated seeing Momoa on the show, so it’s not surprising to learn that they stood up for him when people were criticizing his body. Momoa is a father of two, having welcomed both his son and daughter with his ex, Lisa Bonet, in the late 2000s. But when people started commenting that Momoa had a “dad bod,” it didn’t seem to be out of kindness.

When the actor was celebrating his 40th birthday in August 2019, photos and videos of him circulated online, resulting in people commenting on his appearance. TMZ asked if Momoa was bothered by people saying he had a “dad bod,” to which Momoa replied, “Not at all.”

The actor even joked, “I’ll show you my dad bod soon.”

The month before that, Us Weekly shared photos of Momoa and Bonet vacationing in Venice together, prompting people to comment on how the former looked. It’s safe to say that Momoa’s fans weren’t going to put up with negative comments. One person said, “ If that’s a “dad bod” I’ll take it any day!!!” Another added, “Beautiful body! ❤️❤️❤️”

Another person said:

“That does not look like a dad bod to me. By the way what's wrong with being a dad or having a dad body? Stop body shaming people!!!!”
