Jane Seymour is an actress who is well known for her role on "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman" as the titular character, as well as for starring in the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die." She has also been cast in some critically acclaimed pieces, such as "Onassis: The Richest Man in the World" and the 1976 miniseries "Captains and the Kings," the latter earning her an Emmy nomination and the former winning her an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In a Miniseries or a Special.

While her professional life has been a point of great success for Seymour, her personal life was filled with major upheavals. The star was already married three times when she got together with James Keach, an actor and filmmaker. Keach and Seymour had been married for 20 years before they split due to rumors of infidelity from Keach's side in 2013.

This was especially painful for Seymour because reports from the time stated that Keach had been unfaithful with someone whom Seymour knew. The couple split soon after, which left Seymour "devastated." She finally opened up to the Daily Mail about what happened during her split in October 2019, covering a wide range of other subjects such as how she maintains her youthful looks, how she manages her professional life and how she navigates her role as a mother and grandmother.

Seymour confirmed that Keach had, in fact, been unfaithful to her by the end of the marriage, and she spoke to how this deeply impacted her. Read on to know more about her life.

According to Biography.com, Seymour was born as Joyce Penelope Wilhemina Frankenberg on Feb. 15, 1951, in Hayes, Hillingdon, England. She was the eldest of three daughters and was raised on the outskirts of London. She made her professional debut at the age of 13 with the London Festival Ballet and then entered the Arts Educational Trust to train further. Unfortunately, three years later, Seymour suffered knee injuries that effectively ended her dancing career after a performance with the Kirov Ballet.

She then turned her attention to theater and renamed herself after King Henry VIII's third wife. She got her break very early on at the age of 20 when she was cast as a Bond Girl in the movie "Live And Let Die," after which she was able to get steady work on many mainstream platforms, including appearances on episodic programs such as "McCloud" and "Battlestar Galactica."

Today, she is 70 years old and continues to be cast in different movies and television series. Her latest stint was on "The Komisky Method," which also starred Michael Douglas, who has been Seymour's friend for many decades, according to the Daily Mail.

She lives in LA with her boyfriend of five years, David Green, in a star-studded neighborhood. Her neighbors include Simon Cowell and Cher.

Speaking about David, she said, "I feel so supported," adding, "He doesn’t even flinch when a team of people arrive at 3am to do my hair and make-up for a photoshoot. Because he’s in the business, he completely understands the odd hours I work."

Back in 2013, Seymour was left "devasted" after her then-husband, James Keach, cheated and left her for someone else.

"Choices were made that I couldn’t live with," Seymour revealed. "I thought we were going to be married for ever, but James made a choice that I wasn’t privy to. He found someone else. I felt horrible, devastated."

She continued, "I don’t do well with betrayal. If someone says: 'Things aren’t good, let’s separate,' it would be different. But I was never privy to that conversation. By the time I found out — entirely by accident — it had been going on for some time, so that was that. It was someone I knew, so that was very frightening."

Though Seymour wanted to make things work, it was not to be.

"I tried to figure something out, but I realized that the marriage wasn’t going to work. We are friends now, and were always determined to be good parents, but it was devastating at the time," Seymour told Daily Mail.

The timing was terrible for Seymour, and this betrayal caused deep distress. "I felt so vulnerable. My self-confidence took a real knock. I tried a bit of dating — not anything like Tinder. That sounds just horrible. But friends introduced me to friends. However, there was never a spark," Seymour explained.

Today, Seymour and Keach are friends and have put it all behind them to co-parent their children together. Seymour has four children: Katie, 37, and Sean, 34, from her third marriage to businessman David Flynn, and 23-year-old twins John and Kris from her two-decades-long marriage to Keach. She is also a stepmother to Kalen Keach and Jenni Flynn, according to Pop Culture.
