Jane Seymour is a British-American actress who has enjoyed a long and successful career in film, television, and theater. Born in 1951 in Hillingdon, Middlesex, England, Seymour was the daughter of a British gynecologist and a Dutch mother.

Seymour’s big break came in 1973 when she was cast as the lead in the James Bond film “Live and Let Die.” Her performance as the Bond girl Solitaire was widely praised and launched her career in Hollywood. She went on to star in a number of popular films in the 1970s and 1980s, including “Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger” and “Somewhere in Time.”

In addition to her film work, Seymour has also had a successful career in television. She is perhaps best known for her role as Dr. Michaela Quinn in the popular series “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” which aired from 1993 to 1998. The show was a critical and commercial success, and Seymour won a Golden Globe for her performance.

In addition to her acting career, Seymour is also a philanthropist and activist. She has been involved in a number of charitable organizations, including the American Red Cross and the Open Hearts Foundation, which she founded in 2010.

Throughout her long and varied career, Seymour has established herself as a versatile and talented performer. She was even appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2000.

Seymour turned 72 on Feb. 15, 2023, and is not only one of the busiest actresses today but is still a drop-dead stunner. In 2022 alone, she appeared in three TV shows and two films, including “B Positive” and “Ruby’s Choice.” Read on to find out more about how the star maintains her youthful looks and why she’s never gone under the knife.

As a well-known actress and model, Seymour has been admired for her timeless beauty and youthful appearance. Many have been curious about the beauty regimen that has helped her maintain such a youthful glow.

Seymour has always emphasized the importance of taking care of her skin, and she has been known to follow a strict skincare routine. She believes that taking care of the skin is one of the most important things a person can do to maintain a healthy and youthful appearance. She told Glamour:

“My philosophy is actually quite amazing because it’s something pretty much anyone can do.” She added her regimen involved cleansing, gentle exfoliant and sun protection. She added she “stopped sun-worshipping a long time ago,” and her skin has been thankful to her ever since.

“Never go to bed with dirty skin,” and “don’t ever just lie in the sun. Never,” were more tips she shared with the publication.

Another product she revealed she absolutely adored was Crepe Erase. “No one wants to talk about crepey skin – especially not me – and I thought there was no way this could possibly work,” she told New Beauty and added others thought she had had a body peel. “But it was all Crepe Erase. The bottom line: It worked off the bat.”

As for going au natural hair-wise, Seymour said she agrees gray is definitely beautiful but isn’t ready to take the plunge herself just yet.

“I have a lot of friends who have allowed themselves to go gray and they look elegant and lovely. … I don’t actually have that much gray hair so I wouldn’t naturally be gray, I’d look a bit more like a skunk, so at the moment I decided that I really like the color I have, it’s very natural,” she told Prevention.

As for more drastic efforts to retain her youthful appearance, Seymour said she hasn’t got the time to undergo cosmetic procedures.

“I don’t do peels and stuff with the plastic surgeons or derms because I never have time off to do it. I can’t suddenly say, ‘I’m not working because my face is going to be red for three weeks,’” she told Glamour.

“I have not done facelifts or all of those things and fillers just because… I don’t think I’ve ever worked as much as I have right now,” she told Prevention. “And I think being as authentic as you can be as an actress is really important. You need a face that moves.”

Despite her aversion to any procedures right now, Seymour isn’t 100% against doing so in the future. “As of now, I have chosen not to have a facelift – but I have nothing against any of it, nothing. Almost everyone I know is doing it and they’re really thrilled with the results. I think it’s great, and if I felt that somebody could do something that wouldn’t change my face, and I would have the results where I would look just like me, I would do it. I’m not saying I’d never do it, but I haven’t done it yet,” she told New Beauty.

Seymour said her key to feeling and looking youthful is having a positive attitude and self-love. “It’s about what I can do to be the best me I can be, rather than trying to be like someone else,” she told Prevention. “I’m not Cindy Crawford. I’m Jane Seymour.”

“But in terms of being in tune with my age,” she said, “I’m not pretending that I’m not my age, I just like to look the healthiest version that I can.”
