In October, the actress was arrested on US Capitol steps for “crowding, obstructing or incommoding.” Her run-in with the law, however, was not enough to scare off the Oscar winner.

“I will be on the Capitol every Friday, rain or shine, inspired and emboldened by the incredible movement our youth have created,” she wrote on her website. “I can no longer stand by and let our elected officials ignore – and even worse – empower – the industries that are destroying our planet for profit. We can not continue to stand for this.”

Last Friday, Fonda took to Instagram to post a photo of herself embracing her granddaughter, Viva. The caption revealed that Viva had been arrested.

“With my granddaughter Viva Vadim who got arrested with 38 others today,” the caption reads.
