Fonda is glad that she looks great for her age, she fully recognizes that this beauty has not always come naturally. Fonda has had multiple procedures to reduce the wrinkles around her eyes and jawline. But now that she has aged, she wishes that she actually had more wrinkles to express her true age.

Fonda wishes that she had felt more comfortable with herself and the aging process. She'd prefer not to have felt the need to change her appearance as she aged. Fonda points to actress Vanessa Redgrave and her graceful approach to the aging process because she loves the look of lived-in faces.

The topic of aging and plastic surgery is brought up in the new HBO documentary, “Jane Fonda in Five Acts.” However, this is not the first time that Fonda has addressed the issue of cosmetic surgery. Fonda told W magazine in 2015 that she felt pressure to look a certain way. It was this pressure to be loved that led Fonda down the path of plastic surgery.

Now that she is older and wiser, Fonda realizes that age is just a number. While many people remember the natural and energetic Fonda of the 1980s with all of her exercise videos, Fonda still manages to work out. Although she cannot go quite as fast as she used to, Fonda prides herself on exercising at a slower pace. The exercise guru also recommends that people pay attention to their posture, noting what a difference that it makes in your overall physical appearance.
