In the latest hilarious installment of “The Late Late Show’s” segment, “Crosswalk The Musical,” James Corden decided to tackle the just-released movie “Aladdin.”

The premise of the segment is to put on the biggest spectacular possible in the middle of a crosswalk outside the TV studio before the light changes. It’s true that the light only takes a couple of seconds but that’s all the show’s host James Corden and his guests need to sing and dance and entertain passengers paused in cars at the traffic light.

Corden has already put on musicals from remakes “Mary Poppins” and “Beauty and the Beast.” This time, special guests Mena Massoud who plays Aladdin and Naomi Scott who plays Princess Jasmine came on to give the same treatment to “Aladdin.” Plus a very special guest later appeared.

The segment started off with Corden dressed in a version of the Genie costume while he encourages the company to guess what musical they would be doing that day. The blue face-paint made them think it was a Smurfs or Blue Man Group performance but when Will Smith showed up, it was clear it was going to be “Aladdin.” He entered and said, "I'm the Genie, man, you can't do ‘Aladdin’ without the Genie,” implying that Corden should give up his self-assigned role.

Corden was relegated to playing the monkey Abu for a triple-feature of the movie’s well-loved songs: First starting off with “Friend Like Me,” then moving on to the very over-the-top “Prince Ali,” and then the finale of “A Whole New World.” Each performance included amazing props like a forklift magic carpet, epic costumes, and even fire features.

It seemed like drivers in Los Angeles were unphased, however, and they were shown patiently waiting for the show to end. Maybe they’re just waiting to go and see the movie themselves. “Aladdin” is now in theaters starring Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine.
