The Voice just wrapped up its 17th season and crowned Jake Hoot from Kelly Clarkson’s team its winner.

Unlike the last seven seasons, we saw all coaches partake in this year’s finale, with no clear frontrunner that made the outcome obvious.

This season saw Katie Kadan paired with John Legend, Jake Hoot paired with Kelly Clarkson, Rose Short paired with Gwen Stefani and Ricky Duran paired with Blake Shelton.

All contestants had to perform three songs at the finale: a solo cover, an original song of theirs, and a holiday duet featuring their coach.

The night kicked off with American-Idol runner up Adam Lambert taking the stage to join Kate Kadan to duet Cher’s song ‘Believe’, with Rose Short following accompanied by Yolanda Adams to perform ‘In the Midst of it All’.

Lastly, we saw Ricky Duran perform ‘Pearl Cadillac’ with Gary Clark Jr and Jake Hoot singing ‘Over Drinking’ with country group Little Big Town.

The finale episode lasted two hours before host Carson Daly finally came out to reveal the winner of the evening.

Jake Hoot ended up being victorious, with Ricky Duran coming in as a close 2nd. Katie Kadan came in 3rd, while Rose Short came in at 4th place.
