Nicholson revealed some personal thoughts in an interview with Closer in which he talked about his love life in his old age. He said that he desired to have a companion and a final romance. He admitted that he didn't feel that this was likely to happen for him in his 80s. He said that he believed his reputation as a womanizer is one reason that women might be less likely to enter a relationship with him.

Nicholson also confided that he no longer feels comfortable trying to approach women at his age because it doesn't feel right to him anymore. He feels that he has acquired all the things most people dream of in life, but he is lacking some essential things when it comes to relationships. He explained this by pointing out that people and relationships are complicated, and we tend to do and say things in ways that we don't intend. He revealed that he feels that he has been successful in his career, but not in matters of love.

These days, Nicholson lives alone in his Hollywood mansion. The days of partying are gone for the actor, and he spends many nights watching movies with friends. He told The Telegraph that he believes women don't trust him because of his reputation, and he feels condemned because of how women perceive him. The women who were not deterred by his reputation rarely went out on a traditional date with him. Jack would usually take them to his home where he joked that the food is better there anyway. He revealed that he got tired of arguing with women about where to go on a date, so he would take them directly to his house.

Now that he's in his 80s, Jack's family is concerned about his lonely lifestyle, according to The Telegraph. On a typical day, he will wake at 1 p.m. and play some golf. He likes to visit the house next door that used to belong to Marlon Brando which he bought because he didn't want to have neighbors. The home is used primarily for his art collection. His children want him to sell the large mansion where he lives because they feel it's too much to manage for a man of his age, and they think it feels lonely to be in a large home by yourself.

Jack loves his home that he has lived in for many years, so he is unwilling to sell it and move. The actor was not always a single girl chaser. He had a 6-year marriage with Sandra Knight, and he had a daughter with her. It was a loving marriage during the 60s before he became famous. His wife told Closer that Jack was a loving father and is sweet to his grandchildren as well. Nicholson revealed that the great love of his life was the actress Anjelica Huston who was the star of the television show "The Addams Family." The relationship ended when Jack informed her that he had gotten another woman pregnant. It was another actress named Rebecca Broussard.
