J. Lo’s Designer Creates Dresses For 13-Year-Old Fan With Early-Aging Disorder For Birthday

Famous designer, Michael Costello recently made the fashion dreams of young Adalia Rose come true with a set of designer gowns for her birthday. Adalia Rose is a social media star living with a genetic condition called progeria which stunts growth and causes other medical issues. For this reason it is difficult for the teenager to find clothing that fits her tiny frame and matches her style.

According to People Magazine, fashion designer Michael Costello met Adalia earlier in the year and after the two discussed fashion he learned about her difficulty in finding clothes that fit and matched her personality. Costello decided to help Adalia realize a dream and got to work creating a birthday gown for her. In addition to the birthday gown, Costello created a second look that was a total surprise to the teen and which she loved even more than the first.

Michael Costello is a fashion designer that has an impressive clientele list that includes J. Lo, Beyonce, and other superstar icons. His go-to designs include runway looks that have a lot of sparkle and shine and flow with the body. Costello's style is exactly what Adalia Rose loves, and why she wished for her very own designer created dress, a report from People said. 

Adalia Rose is well known on social media, with a large Instagram and YouTube following. The teen shares her life and struggles living with progeria on social media platforms, but it is easy to see that she is just like any other teenage girl. When Adalia saw her favorite designer was in town, she reached out for a meetup and got the ball rolling on her dream dress. After speaking with Adalia about her fashion preferences and getting to know her personality, Costello got to work on a dress the teen could wear for her big birthday party. 

The custom dress was inspired by Aladdin and featured a two-piece look that the teen showed off in a video on Instagram. As if that wasn't enough of a surprise, Costello went a step further and decided to create a second look for the teen, a one-shouldered ballgown in magenta.

Adalia Rose was completely surprised by the second dress from her favorite designer and showed it off with a fierce photo of herself modeling the dress. Costello told People that he wanted to make a look that would capture her personality and let her shine, and the dress did just that. 

When you ask Michael Costello about his resume of work and who he sees as his dream clients, he talks about how blessed he has been in his career. Costello says that he feels like he has dressed the majority of his dream clients, and as long as they love what he makes he is satisfied. But, Costello said he would love to make custom pieces for more individuals that can't find the looks they are after in stores, or who struggle with their health like Adalia.
