J Lo Attempted To Prank Call Ellen DeGeneres, But Her Laugh Was A Dead Giveaway

On a new segment on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, a celebrity prank calls Ellen and she must guess who she thinks the celebrity is. Recently, Jennifer Lopez tried fooling Ellen but the singer gave it away in the cutest fashion. 

The segment “The Voice...on the Phone” is a new game, designed to play off the talent show. Jennifer called Ellen in a very high pitched as she tried to diguise her voice.

The truth is you can’t prank a prankster. The actress tried to disguise her voice even more by using a thick latin accent. But, Ellen was onto her. “Are you a comedian?” Ellen asked. When the actress said yes, Ellen asked the voice to tell her a joke. Breaking character, JLO immediately said, “Gimme a joke! Gimme a joke!”

After hearing her famous friend’s giggle, Ellen already knew who it was. “It’s Jennifer Lopez!” she exclaimed, which was followed by more laughter. So, it turned out that Ellen's pretty good at this game. We’ll see if she can keep up her winning streak in the games to come!

When the game was over, Ellen and JLO chitchatted briefly over the phone in front of her studio audience.

She congratulated the actress on her latest performance in the movie, "Hustlers," which according to Ellen is generating Oscar buzz for her incredible performance as “Ramona”- a stripper who leads her coworkers in a scheme. 

As of 2018, records confirmed that Lopez has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide, and her movies have grossed more than $3 billion.

Ellen also tried to address the rumors that JLO would be performing at the upcoming Super Bowl in February 2020. Even though she refused to completely confirm the rumors, Ellen continued to sing her J-Lo praise. Watch this clip to see if JLO was a dead giveaway during the game.
