The 660-acre island, Inchmarnock, is up for sale and the cost is around the price you would buy for a nice house in the heart of London.

According to the real estate listing, the island along with a four-bedroom port house, a ferry, livestock, and range of boats are all up for sale. The island, which is callled Inchmarnock, is located off the Firth of Clyde in the northern part of the Sound of Bute.

According to the listing, the last permanent resident of the island left in 1986. Since 1999, Inchmarnock has been used as a vacation property by a British couple. The couple is now selling the entire island, complete with a four-bedroom farmhouse, numerous outlying buildings, and 4.75 miles of coastline.

The farm consists of 200 pedigree Highland cattle along with the ferry that can carry 24 tonnes which is available for separate purchase.

Inchmarnock was the frequent target of Viking raids in the 900s and was used during World War II as a training ground for tanks used by Scottish commandos and French-Canadian soldiers.

Those who love history will be fascinated by the numerous bomb craters that can still be seen on the island. In the 1960s, Inchmarnock rose to even greater fame when a farmer came upon the remains of the Queen of the Inch. The Bronze Age inhabitant was entombed on the island with a magnificent flint dagger and lignite necklace.
